LG 42PC1D-EC with blown fuse and bad caps

I have purchased an LG 42PC1D-EC that has 9 bulging caps on the power supply board and F2 250V 4A blown fuse on the ysus board. Could the bad caps be responsible for the blown fuse on the ysus board or should I be looking for something else?
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The bad caps probably didn't cause the fuse to blow but it's likely that their high ESR over time killed something that caused the fuse to blow. It would help to post some high quality pictures

It's possible that you have two separate issues. This PSU repair kit may correspond to your blown caps: http://www.ohmsupplies.co.uk/REPAIR-...-2300KEG002A-F

I'd get the PSU running again then diagnose the Y-Sus.

Thanks for the replies. I have caps ordered and hopefully here tomorrow. Once I have the PSU repaired should I replace the blown fuse and try again?

I noticed another post with similar problems to mine here
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30613, is it highly probable that I have the same issue with the ysus?

What is the part number of your Y-Sus? If it uses an IPM, then I'd say you have the same issue. Like I mentioned in that thread, there's also a possibility you have other damage on the Y-Sus.

Ok, yes, I'd say you most likely have the same issue.

There may better sources for replacement parts in UK, but here are a couple links:

I've used startboy1010 on eBay numerous times.

Many thanks for your advice, I'll check out your video on how to fit the part and weigh up my options.
