hi all i have a a lg 50pc1da plasma , tv comes on but its just a grey flicker screen , is it the y sus board or the buffer board that is faulty , could any body help please

Buffer+ERC IPM on Y-sus is usually the cause of this fault.

thanks tom for your reply ,, i,m just a novice at repair is the ERC IPM under the heatsink on the y sus

Yes, there may be two IPMs. The ER IPM is the one near the coiled inductors -- little ~1-inch loops of wire I believe on this set.

would it be the buffer and the ER-IPM where can i get the ER-IPM from or what is the number for it anyone know ?

Desolder the IMP first buddy and then unscrew it from the heatsink. The Pn is written on the top of it. Also have you checked the sustain voltages ?

no mate i did the power supply all 10 caps as they were bulged
i told my mate i would look into the fault just getting pointers at the moment really

how much are they for the IPM's rough ball park

YPPD-J016C, YPPD-J017C as I recall, cant remember which is the SUS IPM or ERC IPM....

Symptom could well be either or with them, and could be the ones on either board--Just to confuse!

Best way to tell, Listen closely--To which one 'Ticks'
