    panasonic TH-42PZ85UA purple stripe

    I have a panasonic 42" plasma tv with a verticle blue/pink/purple (color changes) stripe on the left side. I have changed the SU and SD Boards . The stripe shows up after the tv has been on for about 20 minutes. When I replaced the SU and SD boards it took about an hour and a half before the stripe came back , but it's back on the 20 minute schedule now. Any advise would be appreciated.

      Might be a bad panel, but there's a slight chance it could be a loose ribbon cable. It should be connected directly to the panel, not sure what the boards are called in a Panasonic.

          There could be an issue with one of the C boards that runs along the bottom of the panel: Possibly a loose connector, dirty ribbon, or a bad board. In this order of progression, I'd try re-seating the connector, cleaning the ribbon with electronic contact cleaner, or replacing the board. I think bringing up the menu on the TV can help determine whether you have a panel issue or just a connection issue.

              I checked all the connections I could see when I was in there before , but that doesn't mean I couldn't have missed something. I didn't take any of them apart to clean them. I saw the C boards when I changed the other 2 boards. The boards I changed seem to be more in control of the horizontal than the vertical. I got horizontal lines when I failed to seat a couple straps on my first installation try. I assume if it was a C Board it would be the one on the side of the stripe. The SC Board was suggested at the time the SU and SD boards were, but if I understand it correctly that board controls the other 2 , so if they aren't the cure it seems very unlikely that their controller could have anything to do with it. I will check out the C Board next., thank you.

                  I replaced the C-2 board today and the tv has been on for 9 hours straight with no stripe. I think it's safe to say we fixed it. Thanks again,

                          I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
                          The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
                          In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
                          Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

                          Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
                          Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                          Hoping to figure out if the panel is done. A week or so ago this stripe appeared on right side of display. It is there with all inputs. Pictures attached. the picture and audio are not affected. I tried disconnecting ribbon from buffer to panel and it does not change. Disconnecting the ribbon next to it yields the expected white stripe. There are vertical buffers on top and bottom therefore the 1/2 screen stripe.
                          There are green and yellow lines on top and left side of stripe and multi-color lines on right side.

                          My suspicion is that the panel is the cause because there is...
