    Re: PANASONIC plasma TH-P42X20A, SOS4,1,10,6,8

I have just got round to refitting the SN +SS boards after replaceing all the parts as listed
    TNPA5066
    Q451 DG502
    D481 RFU20
    Q661 RJP63F
    D451 ES 1G
    Q701 MMBTA92 (7E W)
    Q702 2PD601ART (3W)
    IC773 5N74AHCIG14DBVR
    Q818 2SK3018

    TNPA5072
    RJP30E4 X4
M81735FP I replaced this with a M81737FP as had one to hand
with the boards fitted the set powers up solid green light, and solid green on the SN,but the not so good news is the on screen image see photo it could be the driver M81737FP that I have fitted but not sure? let me know what you think, anyway I am getting there Thanks Flocko

If you like pink, looks great!

I would think using that FET driver would be an issue. was there anything obvious wrong with the M81735?

I don't think they actually blow, I replaced mine but I found nothing obvious with it.

Any scrap SS boards at all from 2009/10 in your pile?

First thing I would do is look at the pinouts, pin 11 and pin 2 especially pin 11 since it is Vcc on the one you put in 737 ,and NC / grounded on the 735

I think it's not good substitute, at least as far as i can see it from datasheet, altough i'm a newb so might be wrong

Might find that driver on older SC boards too?

Probably best thing to do is to order new M81735FP, and install it.
Or he could try with the old one, but i know i wouldn't do it

No I just thought as I had one change it, I have tried to get data up on them but had no luck and it was only after I fitted it that I realised it was a 7 not 5,i had it in my box of bits left over from repairing a SC board I tend to buy more when it comes to these small SMD parts as they fly off in to the unknown and get lost forever, I have a TNPA5082 that has a 5 and a 7 on it I will pull that off, I have looked but no one has one. I hope that's what the problem is anyway time will tell. Thanks for all your help Flocko

That's where I got mine off a 5082, you could compare pin for pin and get an idea if the old one was bad, that's what I did but played it safe. Nice work with the SN, looks straight forward although I stuffed my attempt.

might want to edit Q616 to 661, if you can.

Well I think we both need to go to the opticians you with your lost resistor and me for not seeing the wrong number on the driver, all will be fine in the end and its only time and I hope we still have some of that to spare . Thanks again one and all Flocko

So have you swapped it and it's fixed or still in progress?

Just put the old one back as I used Q- chip to get it of so not had that much heat though it, but still have a dim hard to see screen do you think it could be the buffer chip? will take a photo but hard to see it as so dim Flocko

just changed the driver again for the one on the 5082 just waiting for it to dry off after cleaning the flux off the board. getting fast at changing these now with all this practice Flocko
