Problem with Vizio LCD VX37L HDTV

I have Vizeo LCD model VX37L HDTV. Problem is Tv turn off after showing blue screen and no input signal.I can turn on again but tv keep turn off.
    Check DU4 ( instead of U4) on main ,AMC1117 dead (pin2 output 0v ,pin3 3.3v, pin1 0v). I replace with another ADJ AMC1117.Tv shows same problem.
but DU4 has pin2 1.25v pin3 3.3v pin1 ov. I check r2=0 ohm r1=83 ohm.I do not know why r2 is 0 ohm. Is this shorted because of previous ic damage?
I also want to know the good voltage of DU4 output.

    Thanks

When it turns off, does VIZIO logo go from white back to orange?

"Problem is Tv turn off after showing blue screen and no input signal" how long does it stay on? TV will go into standby if it does not receive signals. Can you feed video signals to the TV?

          Hello Budm.

Take about 6 seconds to turn off. During the time it is on It does not shows Menu or any OSD only no input. I want to know the voltage out of DU4.
The LDO 1117 some label U some label DU. I see about 5 DU and about 5 U.

          No schematic.

This is a feature of some older Vizios. I saw thesame conclusion on 42" and 50" Vizio plasma too. It appears to trip some people up. Usually No Signal appears at least...

I'm guessing they never checked it with an input.

OK, I'm not seeing a problem here. It's just giving you more time if you unplug it while it is running.

Now with a input connected it stays on and displays the input correctly

It is working , there is no problem?
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

I did not connect avi or hdmi but I did connect air antenna.TV shutdown after 6 seconds. Tv did not response to input button.

                                    Hi Tom.
I am happy to have help from Supper techs here.
All I did I already showed every post from the first one.I am confused too.I can not find out the cause. In experience sometimes we remove and install board
then tv fixed without doing anything. But this one I did not remove the main board.

                                    TV is OK now.

And now in the end TV works good for antenna, hdmi , and avi?

                                      Congratulations, enjoy!

From what I can tell it was just the 6 seconds with no input causing it to shut off. It would not switch inputs maybe because it was shutting off to fast / or it didn't sense the antenna input?

Re: Problem with Vizio LCD VX37L HDTV

I had a 37" Vizio with a similar problem. Turned out to be the main board at fault. There will be a delay when the Tv is turned on before you can access the OSD menu or change the input. After replacing the main board the delay problem was fixed.

Usually with the RGB input itll shut off if there is no input. So if it shuts off and turned back on with no inputs there will be a delay that will prevent you from accessing or changing the input and itll shut off once again and youll be stuck in this loop.
