    Re: Sony KDL-46W4100 vertical lines

After 30 min. the line has faded, after 45 min. its gone. Could the panel do this or is there another board that could be the problem

Definitely the panel. I have the same exact panel with vertical lines, Pressing on the tab bonds eventually made it disappear.

        Thanks

Are the tab bonds lined up. Is it the tab above where the line is or could it be any of them?

            Re: Sony KDL-46W4100 vertical lines

I have a very similar question. I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V4100. It had bad colors very deep reds and looked almost like a negative image. I ordered a reconditioned T-Con board and replaced it. Now the colors are good but it is flickering constantly. Almost like a strobe light. The brighter the screen image the worse the flicker or "strobe". Could it be another bad T-Con board or the main board?

Go to the menu and adjust the backlight setting to its max and then the min. Does it still flicker in either?

Yes it does. I have tried all picture settings one by one and no matter what I do it still flickers or "strobes" Put the old T-con board back in and, of course, the color issue is still there but no flickering or "strobing" no matter what I do to recreate it. Swapped boards again and again good color but flickering.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
                  by Daren87
                  Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                  Sony KDL-40V3000 - Vertical lines
                  by gpo23
                  Hello,

                  i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                  Thank you for your help

                  Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                  by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                  by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

                  Sony XBR-65X900H vertical lines
                  by dustman1747
I have acquired a Sony XBR-65X900H to try and fix. It probably was a complete no power situation. The main board was replaced and the TV started turning on. I now have start sounds and backlights, but no image. I've replaced the t-con with no improvement. Cables all appear to be ok and seated properly. The TV took a firmware update and hard reset but neither helped.

Using the tape trick I can get both side to display combinations of colored vertical lines. There is no change in the stripes and the pattern always appears the same. If I add additional tape strips I can get the screen...
