    Re: Hisense Plasma PDP4235EU

Im trying to take the Y Buffer board out, but the ribbon cables dosn't come out,

i opened the latch who secure the ribbon cable, and tried to pulled it out,

i don't want to put any power to the cable, im afraid to break it

    am i doing something wrong?

by the way Tom66 the problem got worst,

it happens all the time without starting time issue.

      Re: Hisense Plasma PDP4235EU

Lift the latch, push very gently downwards and it should slide out. Those cables are bonded to the panel, so you're right to be careful, as they cannot be replaced if they break.

        Re: Hisense Plasma PDP4235EU

        ok got it out!

tried to reseat the flat cables with no luck,

        couldn't find a replacement Y buffer board.

        model :42F1_YDRV

so i guess i will have to order a single chip and do that nasty work of soldering that chip back

i saw on Youtube that in order to check a chip, look for shorts between the power and ground.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB238KaaHVA

anyone tried this method, know if its any good?

Do you have no picture at all or is the top 1/3rd black permanently?

OK, then the buffer is not shorted. Replacing just that second IC should be all that is necessary.

Have a look around on several different sites first and check if it's available elsewhere for less.

couldnt find this chip on ebay, and i don't really know any other electronics online stores,
i know it's not cheap but i got it for 11 dollars including shipping to israel.

i hope it will solve the problem, and even if it won't, its still worth the risk.

                      s-henya hi.

I hade the same problem and I fix it.
you need the original remote and reset procces is needed.
                      menu -audio- balance-0532 -factory int-protectly .
                      end of story .

Are you sure? I have never heard of a main board causing the part of the panel that should be glowing even with no signal to go out completely.

                          hey william,
i've tried factory setting reset, it worked when i just got it,
                          (the problem was happening randomly)
(so i think it was just luck)

but over time it became permanent.
and the reset doesn't fix it.

                            hi.
my problem was that the pic become smaller in the 1/3 off the screen (up to down) and after a wile become smaller from left to right.
so I make the reset process and its works costumer happy.
do you make the reset ok?.

I am writing to seek assistance regarding my 85-inch Hisense Smart TV, model 85Q6NAU, which is currently experiencing a fault. The unit is approximately two years old, and I am not sure if it has a warranty.

                                Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...

                                Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

Tried updating firmware with USB flash drive (can't find 4GB drive but did format larger drive in FAT32) with no luck. Flash drive would be accessed but would never get to the update process.
