    Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec

Can anyone tell me the spec of the original capacitors used on this power supply for the vizio vp50hdtv20a?
The caps that I have circled in the picture. Its a tv I'm trying to salvage for myself. I want to get the UF & voltages right.

lol, that I know but this board had some caps replaced already. I wanted the original spec in case the caps that were on here were incorrect.

I've been viewing various pics on the net but I can't quite see the cap numbers.

They're probably 820uF 25V/35V. You could put in 1000uF 35V just to be safe, those look like Samxon GF which are known to fail very often. It also looks like it has CapXon and Samwha too...do you plan on replacing all the caps?

Are you sure they've been replaced?
I look at ShopJimmy, cap colours look the same to me.

I swapped out a couple of the 2200uf 10v samxon to another brand (The blue circled caps in the pic).
So far the tv hasn't blown anything. So far so good.

The 3 circled in blue are 2200uf 10v made by Jackson.
the 4 in red are 3300uf 16v is blue with a gold stripe to indicate the negative side. 2 sites label them as panasonics.
The tv is still working as of this writing.

This tv has been shutting off again after a few minutes. I've replaced numerous caps, even caps that weren't bulging because they were the cheap samxons.
There are a few more little samxons on the board that aren't bulging. I don't know if I should replaced EVERY samxon cap or look else where to troubleshoot like the mainboard.
I'm wondering if the voltage regulators on the mainboard are faulty.

                  Any input?

                        Hi.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                        Assuming...

                        Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                        Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

Vizio SmartCast TV software bug that looks like hardware
                        by howardc64
Bug looks like hardware so thought I posted it here. Exact same behavior on 2 different model 4K Vizio TVs running their SmartCast smarttv software. After launching youtube app, press vizio button on remote to return to the smarttv menu, once in awhile, a column of bad pixels will show for few seconds on the left hand side.

It seems the vizio software is reinitializing hardware when returning to the smarttv menu. In general, SmartCast software isn't very good. Also will randomly (relatively infrequent) get no network connection when on wifi and require reboot....
