Re: Smd fuse replacement
I have seen various warnings in tv's, home electricity, and car fuses that you should always replace the fuse with the same type/amperage.

Vizio GV47LHDTV20A buzzing sound & dim picture
There are several sites concerning this issue with this model. The popular buzzing sound from the tv in conjunction with a dim picture.
Everything I read about this issue is that it is an inverter problem. They are right! Well in my situation anyway.
I tried the supposed fixes, but I thought they were all nonsense. Upon taking a closer look at my tv I could see blown capacitors on the master inverter board.
There are 2 caps (35V 680UF). I replaced them and now the tv is fine. I wanted to share my experience with you
Thanks again for a great site.

Re: Panasonic TCL32C12 13 blinks on red light
The diagnostic blinks for this model tv is great. The 13 blink code for the A Board is absolutely correct. It gave me a starting point of where to start looking.
I opened up the tv and went straight to the A board. Within a few seconds I found my problem. The solder joints on what looks like a fuse were broken.
I resoldered it and that fixed the problem. The repair was done in minutes. I may not be as tech savvy as some of the vets here but I'm trying to contribute and share my experience with the site.

Re: Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec
This tv has been shutting off again after a few minutes. I've replaced numerous caps, even caps that weren't bulging because they were the cheap samxons.
There are a few more little samxons on the board that aren't bulging. I don't know if I should replaced EVERY samxon cap or look else where to troubleshoot like the mainboard.
I'm wondering if the voltage regulators on the mainboard are faulty.
Any input?Re: Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec

Panasonic TCL32C12 13 blinks on red light
I picked up a Panasonic TCL32C12 which has power but no picture. My research led me to discussions that the blinking red light is for diagnostic purposes.
My tv blinks 13 times which is a A board issue. Does anyone else have this model OR has anyone fixed this board without buying a new one?
I uploaded a picture an A board for reference....Last edited by Thomas Capper; 07-22-2013, 09:29 AM.

Vizio GV47LFHDTV, No Picture, No Sound, No Powering off
I want to say that whoever created this website/forum are geniuses. I have gained knowledge and a better understanding of the new model tv's. This site has helped me alot, AND I mean alot.
THANK YOU BADCAP!
My dad's Vizio GV47LFHDTV had a black screen issue. The lights along the bottom were lit (amber color) and they were non responsive whether by tv or the remote, either way It could not be turned off.
I did some research and found other people had the same issue.
Long story short the problem was the mainboard and that problem...

Re: Vp50hdtv20a
You said you checked the power source but did you check the caps? That was the issue with mine.
Also the are some small SMD fuses. I had another tv that didn't power up because one of these fuses was blown.
Look at the pic so you know what to look for....

Re: Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec
The 3 circled in blue are 2200uf 10v made by Jackson.
the 4 in red are 3300uf 16v is blue with a gold stripe to indicate the negative side. 2 sites label them as panasonics.
The tv is still working as of this writing....Last edited by Thomas Capper; 05-29-2013, 08:33 PM.

Re: Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec
I swapped out a couple of the 2200uf 10v samxon to another brand (The blue circled caps in the pic).
So far the tv hasn't blown anything. So far so good....

Re: Vizio VP50HDTV20A original cap spec
lol, that I know but this board had some caps replaced already. I wanted the original spec in case the caps that were on here were incorrect.
I've been viewing various pics on the net but I can't quite see the cap numbers....
