    Sanyo PDP-42PF2 Stuck on StandBy

    Hi,

I have a Plasma TV Sanyo PDP-42PF2 (seems based on a samsung chassis) that is stuck on standby, it does not respond to remote control or front panel buttons, all voltages on the PSU section are down with the exception of the ones i presume are responsible for the standby circuit and connect to the control board (attached picture) this connector has the following voltages:

    Vsb - 5.23V
    Vson - 0.2mV
    AC_DET - 5,20V
    Relay - 4.10V
    D5V - 2.3mV
    DEV3 - 20.6mV

    Any help would be apreciated.

When you press the power button, do you observe any change in those voltages?

There are no changes in the voltages when pressing the panel buttons or the remote.
The behavior before it stopped turning on for good was that sometimes it would not turn on imediatly and it would turn it self on after a couple of minutes.

Can you repeat with the remote to make sure? Trying to rule out a stuck or intermittent button. Right now standby voltage is good from PSU, so it isn't going to be a bad cap at fault.

Repeated again with remote and even removed the connection to the front panel buttons so that we can rule out a bad switch, voltages remain the same, from observation all caps seem ok no bulges or similar visible problems.

The fault is more than likely on the main board then.

This set is based on a Samsung plasma panel, but the main board, case, remote, etc. are made by Sanyo or a subcontractor for Sanyo.

Can we see clear close up pictures of the main board?

hi, you managed to resolve the situation? I have an identical problem on identical unit

                  Hello

I have an TV Led 4K Selecline 65s18 with mainboard T.MS3458.U801

The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.

Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .

All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps

But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power...

LG 32LB1R - stuck in standby mode
                  by lego1234567
Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.

What could be the problem ? Thanks...

iMac A1224 PSU, 614-0421 - no standby voltages

                  Hi chaps.

Having recently picking up two dead 2008 iMacs, one is now working, however there is still one to repair.

I was told that they both had failed power supplies, and seeing how I intend to crack SMPS repairs, it was a challenge not to ignored.

Anyway, this PSU in question had already had someone having a pop at soldering.

The current problem is (at the very least) in the primary side.

                  Fuse is ok
                  MOV is ok
                  NTC is ok
                  Bridge rectifier is ok (~380vDC)
                  Fat filter cap is ok
                  ...

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
                  by Capacitorial
                  Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
                  On The TCON...
