    LG 50PC3D-UD More problems....

I decided to start a new thread since this appears to be another problem.

So far I have replaced bad Y-buffers, bad y-sus board, bad power supply.

I now run into a problem shown on the picture. I've read that it could be anything from a bad control board to bad y-sus.

I took some volt readings this morning and everything looks okay except the vsc which reads as low as 5v but should be 169v.

It looks like you still have bad buffers.

Have you checked the OSD with the remote to make sure the fault is not caused by the logic board or video board?

I don't have the remote, I did short out the OSD pin 1 and 2 and the individual colors, bars and lines all show properly.

Tom, I checked the buffer boards and showed no faults. I'm going to connect one at a time and see what I get.

I pulled both buffers and sure enough, they are both shorted AGAIN. This time I tested both buffers before installing them and they tested okay. What are the chances that my problems are being caused by the Y-Sus board?

I tested my VSC with no buffers hooked up and I get -169v and my -VY is showing +2.5v. It should be showing +120v on VSC and -200 on -VY.

From my power supply going to the y-sus my VA is 60v and VS 196v just as label on display calls for.

-Vy is bad and this might have cooked your new buffers. Vsc is probably measured the wrong way around and is a little high, this is probably not a major issue (at the moment: you'd probably have sparklies on the image.)

What should I look for that would have the -VY so far off like that? Whenever I adjust the corresponding pot it only swings 1-2v with +2.5v being the lowest I can get it.

You probably have a short on the Y-sus somewhere.

That's what I was thinking. I tried to track it down and kept coming up with nothing. I decided to go back to my original Y-sus board, I replaced a couple of caps which looked like they were starting to swell a little. Then I hooked it up and I'm getting 120 VSC and -199.9 VY!

Now I think I'm back to buffer boards. I'm holding out hope that the Y-sus board only fried the FETs on them.

                    Hello,
on this laptop hp g72 b52sf i have screen problems as you can see with the photo joined in attachments.
the used graphic card is "intel hd graphics" and the id of the integrated screen is : "monitor/SEC3354".
i verified the driver of the péripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).
i don't understand the reasons of the white stripe at the bottom of the screen below the task...

                    USB problems?
                    by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

LG 42PC3 buffer output doesn't follow YSUS
                    by legg
LG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
                    All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.

Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V

Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....

Lenovo 11e problems (any sata hdds are not recognized, sleep battery drain)
                    by clabr
Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...

Help repair this relic? Philips 42PF7220A/37, pulsing buzz from YSUS
                    by Truncatedhose
                    Greetings all!

Originally this set had the usual messed up video symptoms such as: horizontal lines, weak, grainy video, bottom and top of picture differ in intensity of problem. It also seemed to slow to turn on or show the messed up picture.

Seemed like must be YScan/buffer board failure. Ordered buffer boards from my distributor which were supposed to be original/new and also from another distributor, I ordered the YSUS because I wanted to replace it for preventative maintenance. (also, the YSUS had a bulged cap, so there was even more reason to suspect it could...
