Hmm. I guess I'd question the meter's accuracy. If these readings are indeed accurate, you probably need to replace both buffer boards. Got a sample pic of your test?

I was using an ideal digital. i will borrow a better meter from a neighbor today and repost results.

Quite likely the bottom YDRV is the only fault.

Yeah, I was leaning that way myself. The bottom one is definitely bad. I'd try replacing the bottom board and see what happens.

well i ordered both bottom and top ydrv buffer boards and the top one came before the bottom so i said what the heck i will swap the upper board. Still the same issue so im hoping its the bottom board, i will update as soon as it gets here. Thanks

Well i have replaced the boards and now the wide band is gone from the display down the middle but i still have no picture. Tv is coming on and not throwing an error code and shutting down, it will stay on now. I have a solid black screen before it was pixelated a lil and the band down the middle. I also have no onscreen menus when i press menu or input i cant see anything changing. What next guys!

Alright i got a piece of color back, if i unplug the top ydrv buffer board off of the y sus and unplug from bottom ydrv buffer i get color sequence on bottom half of screen with sound. I also get weird vertical bars in random patterns and stufff while switching inputs like this on the lower half of screen. I just cant undrstand whats going on , if this board is good should i be getting picture on bottom half, could we say its ysus now.

Hmm, it's possible you have a Y-sus problem - not sure, though. Do you have a pic of what you're seeing onscreen? I'd also remove the buffers and test them again with a meter.

the first pic is what i see with bottom ydrv buffer mounted and the upper unhooked from ysus and bottom ydrv. Thats the picture with half a screen.

the second pic with the whole screen lit is with both ydrv buffers hooked up on ysus and the ydrvs plugged toghether but the power wires that run to the upper ydrv buffer from the ysus unplugged.

Im at a loss here!

I'm probably just reaching here, but did you have the screws installed to connect the Y-buffers to the Y-Sustain? Those pics are making me hesitantly believe that the panel is bad, but I'd do a few more tests to rule out the Y-Sus or some other part.

Looks like your new buffers are bad. Your Y-sus appears to be working OK, as the screen is properly lit. Please check the -Vy and Vsc voltages on the Y-sus.

At vsc tp the meter want settle off it fluctuates around 130-145volts and im not sure where to check the -vy could you tell me. thanks

Vsc is bad. Should be closer to 180V.
-Vy is measured across a resistor, labelled "-Vy". It's on there... somewhere.

I doubt the panel is bad very much.
