UK versions just display it on the first page, under "TIME" field.

Just under main menu.
Also main on/off cycles, under "CNT" I believe (don't have my TV here at the moment so can't confirm.)
Not sure why Panasonic make it different for every region, it seems...

I was surprised to see you say it was different, the TX-P50S20B which is a UK model has the same as what I pasted.
Either way, does not matter, he'll work it out when he goes into service one way or the other. Maybe back then it was different.
I just copy and paste, Samsung I believe have all that info on there main service page.
I do remember trying a reset thinking it was a factory reset. Took 8000hrs off that Samsung POS and made it new again. Still had sparklies
Haha yeah I'll figure it out....once I get the remote for it. My universal remote works ok with it, but the enter button for the menu doesn't seem to have the proper function to it (and neither of those worked using it). I'm quite pleased with the clarity of the display and it's overall function is tits.
tom66 the advice you gave on placing ads on craiglist has served me well. This guy didn't even want a dollar an inch! So far I've grabbed a 32" Lcd & this 42" plasma for $10 & $ 25 respectively, plus an hour of my time.
Hey guys! I am working on a Panasonic TH-50PX80U. It keeps blowing fuses and will not power on. I have isolated the short at the SS board. I was going to just order a new board, but I wanted to see if I could possibly just fix it. My question is, does anyone know what usually shorts out on these boards? It only blows the fuse when I plug in the 15V plug to the SS board. I am pretty good at diagnosing problems, but I am not very good at finding shorts thanks!
I hope you guys can help I'm lost I had the same problem as you guys and I did the repairs that you did. But there more after I got all done I pluged it back togather and it poped the 401 so I repaired it and check the rest then i unplugged all the connections, I pluged one at a time and all good intell I got the blue plugs that come from board k68297 once I pluged pop!!!
I doubt you have an SS board fault. Your PSU is probably popping fuses as soon as the main outputs power up. This will occur if there is a short on the power board. There are very few ways an SS/SC board could cause a fuse to pop on a Panasonic plasma.

All FETs on power board. Especially the ones that are hidden under the board, the leads are exposed though. Pictures of your power board would help.

Yep it's the one on the left. I did the up date on the bridge and changed the Q406,F401,F402,C426 and when I plugged it in it pop the F401 and F402. So I'm not sure what up. And will both P-Boards work on my tv?
