Re: Sharp LC-52LE700UN was working with an occasional white screen issue, stopped
No the set turns on and immediately goes into safe mode or whatever mode it's in. Hitting the buttons shows nothing.

If the set is plugged in, you get no response from the buttons. There's just the flashing green light at the front.
I'll have to wait until someone can help me push the power button while I hold the dmm leadLast edited by pk7tanner; 05-29-2015, 05:17 PM.

OK
UR13V = 0
UR13V = 0
UR13V = 0
UR13V = 0
ACDET = 0
PS_ON = 0
BU5V = 5v
PNL_PWR = 0
UR13V = 0
UR13V = 0
PNL12V = 0
PNL12V = 0
No voltage on any of them other than BU5V which had 5 voltsLast edited by pk7tanner; 05-29-2015, 02:30 PM.

Here's the data sheet. http://www.st.com/web/en/resource/technical/document/datasheet/CD00261517.pdf
If someone can give me the v readings I should get, that would work as well.Re: Sharp LC-52LE700UN was working with an occasional white screen issue, stopped

Re: Sharp LC-52LE700UN was working with an occasional white screen issue, stopped
Sorry for taking so long. The only one with voltage is the BU5V which has 5v.
I have another question. I was checking the MOSFETs on the power board. Since I'm a novice and can't decipher data sheets, I check them against their matching counterpart. One of the st 13nm60n gives a reading of .955, while the others read OL. I'll attach a photo of the suspect fet....

Sharp LC-52LE700UN was working with an occasional white screen issue, stopped
I had made a previous post about this set https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43199
Well, the problem was getting worse, so I tried entering into the factory reset mode while it was happening. When I couldn't get it to fix the problem, I just turned the set off. Now it won't even power on. When I try to reenter reset mode, it turns on for 2 seconds, then shuts off.
Also, while browsing the Sharp manuals, I haven't been able to find one that is similar to this model.I had made a previous post...

Re: Phoenix Gold 500.4 car amplifier
If you can find a schematic, I'd be rather surprised. PG is notorious for their lack of repair info available. But if you need all that equipment to fix an amp, I'm SOL anyway....

Those are just the covers. The caps don't appear to have any actual bulging....

I'm not entirely sure. I believe it has to do with the output channels.

Phoenix Gold 500.4 car amplifier
I'm trying to repair this amp, but I have very little experience repairing this type of equipment. I believe that two of the four channels are blown, but everything on the board looks good visually and I haven't discovered any FETs with bad readings. When I power up the amp, it acts like it's going to work, but after 10 seconds, it blows the breaker on my power supply. Any idea on what else I should check?...

Re: SHARP lc-52le700un that has an occasional white screen
I've realized that if I switch to my computer's HDMI input (with the computer at the log in screen), then turn the TV off and wait a few seconds, that it seems to work fine when I turn it back on. I don't know why, but if that is any clue as to the problem, I thought I'd add that as well.

Are these TVs that much more fragile than your standard LCD or plasma?Last edited by pk7tanner; 01-11-2015, 06:55 PM.

Re: lg 50pg30
Consider yourself lucky. Mine had a cascade failure when the buffer went it took down the ysus, which in turn took out the zsus. Needless to say, I never fixed it.

Re: LG 50PQ30 PSPU-J806A keeps blowing fuse
From my experience with almost the exact same TV (50PQ20), your buffers boards, ysus, and zsus are bad. With those, it's a domino effect.

Re: SHARP lc-52le700un that has an occasional white screen
One crucial bit of information I forgot to add is that the previous owner said the TV started having this problem after being shipped across the Pacific (from Guam to the NW of the USA). So it was likely caused from being jostled around during shipping.
Also, after leaving it on for 6-7 hours yesterday, when I turned it on this morning, it was a white screen for about 10 sec, and then began working normally.
