Samsung UN55B6000 horizontal lines, bad panel?

I wanted to get your opinions on whether you think this is a panel problem, that is my first thought when seeing it.. Looks like it would be a nice TV! Thanks!

Probably bad tab bonds. This is an LED TV.

I have the same issue. The tab bonds didn't change while messing with them so Iam assuming its a main board or tcon issue but main board @ $100+ tcon $70+ Is there firm ware for this that may fix this double image issue?

Given the extremely high failure rate of Samsung panels (relative to other manufacturers) I am inclined to say bad panel, even if the tabs don't affect it. I wouldn't risk a T-con or main, I can't see them causing it.

My hope was that it was good but was doubting it. I don't want to chase it with parts so selling these parts may recoup my cost of buying it. thanks for reminder of wasting on some of these this is the second one exact model, last one was easy to tell it was a tab bond issue.

I have a UN46B sitting here that does this and other random stuff even sometimes has a clear picture. Its a bad screen even with the tab bonds not doing anything or changing.

Samsung and Sony are notorious for these types of failures!

It's really only Samsung, as Sony used Samsung panels I call it a Samsung failure :-P

Samsung UE70TU7020K Which lines to tape on a bad panel
                by learnmore
                Hello Community,

                I'm working on a Samsung UE70TU7020K.

It looks like a bad panel. There is only 1 FPC cable from the Tcon (built into mainboard) to the panel.

I'm using a piece of tap a few mils (covers about 8-10 pins), at different locations and have had varying results but nothing that is remotely watchable (multiple lines across all the screen, half screen and total black out on screen). The buffer board is divided into 3 boards. I've disconnected the end board one at a time but each time the screen was totally black. I presume it's because the potential...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
                by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...

                Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA Horizontal lines
                by x_orange90_x
I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
