Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"
Finally here are the pictures there is one bloated cap on the power supply. I think everything else looks fine to me. The tv will power up and work just fine at first it will play just like it should then it will shut itself off. When you turn it back on the green power light will just keep blinking. There is no faint image on the screen it is just black. If you let it sit it will work but never stays working long. Is that one cap the problem? -
Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"
Bad caps should be replaced first before going further since bad caps can cause bad DC readings, unstable DC, etc.
If I were you I would replace them as a set, the big cap in primary side can be left alone for now. Make sure to use low ESR type caps. I use PANASONIC FM/FC/FR series from DIGIKEY.Never stop learning

Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"
Got the caps today and replaced them had the TV hooked up to the Xbox and used it for about an hour without any shut offs or any disruptions. The TV also turns on normally now without blinking alot. So far it looks like another one is resurrected. Thanks for all the help.Comment

Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"
If you look above, he replaced all of them. This would be advisable and will only cost a few dollars more.
Also, do not use capacitors from places like RadioShack or Fry's...Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"
The capacitance is written on them (as uF) as is the maximum voltage rating (in V)
e.g. 470uF 35V
Read each capacitor off and we can help you locate the right replacements. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by szepesifHey guys!
This is the third laptop here with this exact same issue and the forum threads and YouTube comments are also filled with this problem so I would like to figure out once and for all what's causing it and how to fix it because this model will keep coming to me to repair.
Symptom: The laptop turns on and works fine UNTIL the Windows starts loading, then it shuts down. I can start it again but the same thing happens over and over again so I can't get into Windows. BUT I can enter the BIOS and it stays there forever without shutting down. The same applies if I remove... -
by Camarada78I have a Carvin PA620 powered mixer with a weird problem: channel one shuts down the entire speaker output when plugged in. Its not a short because it still outputs sound through the line outs.
1. voltages are somewhat correct (-42/+42, -26, -17/+17, when it should be +-43, -24, +-18).
2. Channel 2 if plugged works normally, no issues, any volume.
3. Channel 1 if plugged very low volume, works normally. if goes a little louder, it shuts down everything (both speaker channels)
4. line out works normally in any situation, even after shutting down the speakers.

I bought this NAS as "turns on then straight back off again". When I received it it had no trouble staying on, just the RAM stick was in the wrong slot so it wouldn't POST. I was hoping that was all that was wrong with it, but it's now started randomly shutting off once a week. When I find it off it will fire straight back up again if I hit power, no need to power cycle. Nothing ever in the logs aside from "the last shutdown was unsafe".
It's got an internal PSU, an FSP250-50LC (which is wildly overkill for the hardware really). The electrolytic caps in the PSU... -

by rumpumpel1I have a ThinkPad T460p that keeps restarting instead of shutting down. The culprit is the LAN: if it is disabled in the BIOS, the problem is solved. I have already replaced the LAN chip (WGI219LM) twice, done CleanME, flashed another BIOS. Unfortunately all without success. What else can I check?
