    LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"

I am separating a thread that I posted earlier for a fix to multiple TV's I will leave the original thread for the memorex and this one will be for the LG and I will post pictures of the LG later today. Thanks

Finally here are the pictures there is one bloated cap on the power supply. I think everything else looks fine to me. The tv will power up and work just fine at first it will play just like it should then it will shut itself off. When you turn it back on the green power light will just keep blinking. There is no faint image on the screen it is just black. If you let it sit it will work but never stays working long. Is that one cap the problem?

Bad caps should be replaced first before going further since bad caps can cause bad DC readings, unstable DC, etc.
If I were you I would replace them as a set, the big cap in primary side can be left alone for now. Make sure to use low ESR type caps. I use PANASONIC FM/FC/FR series from DIGIKEY.

Got the caps today and replaced them had the TV hooked up to the Xbox and used it for about an hour without any shut offs or any disruptions. The TV also turns on normally now without blinking alot. So far it looks like another one is resurrected. Thanks for all the help.

Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"

If you look above, he replaced all of them. This would be advisable and will only cost a few dollars more.

Also, do not use capacitors from places like RadioShack or Fry's...

Re: LG 32LC2DU "Keeps Shutting Off"

The capacitance is written on them (as uF) as is the maximum voltage rating (in V)

                      e.g. 470uF 35V

Read each capacitor off and we can help you locate the right replacements.
