Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
Your fault is different from last guy's. Check 24V across CapXon on inverters. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
is you multi meter auto ranging or manual can you post pictures of the boards on your set they we can point out for you the test points etc.Comment

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
put you meter on diode test and the three diodes you have highlighted should have a reading in one direction only if any read odd you will have to unsolder 1 leg on each diode and then retest them.
tom will explain what he needs tested and how ie meter setting etc if your not sure.
if your not sure of the meter settings post a picture up and we will highlight the diode and dc settings for youLast edited by vinceroger69; 02-22-2013, 05:12 AM.Comment

hi all thanks for quick replys okThis pic: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...8&d=1361530364
Two brown caps (cylinders) on inverter board: check voltage across them.
the diodes i get the same for all 3 a reading of 127-130
and the voltages accross the brown caps one reads 24v and the other only 5v the t.v slips back into standby, the caps look like they have been changed before lots of flux resin and moody solder joints.

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
Ah, so you get 24V, then it rapidly falls off? When it does this, does the power LED begin blinking? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
power led does not blink at all, i changed some of the caps on the isolated side of the psu, same as the other chap did, and now it switches on and then back off within a couple of secondsComment

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
Do you have 24V on those caps briefly when power is first applied to the set?
What brand and series of capacitors did you use? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
yeah i get 24v the it drops off and the cap's have no brand just some i picked up at the local electronics shop to match the ones to replace , 470micro 16v
but the behaviour of the fault has now changedComment

Re: technika 42 lcd 910 power probs
You need to use low-esr capacitors. Farnell sell them as do RS. Capacitors from the average shop can cause lots of issues. Good capacitors to use are Panasonic FC, FM or FR.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by nosajI have a samsung QN82Q70RA powers on then powers off. Using some info on the interwebs. I disconnected main board from power supply and backlight shows blue and stays on indicating power supply is good. So next I unplugged one on the lvds cables that connects to screen( I think other side goes to tcon board?) i can get a blue screen and if I press the picture button on the remote i get rain sounds and birds chirping. A lot of videos suggest using kaptan tape to cover the clock signals, but I've been unsucessful there.
So I thought I'd just quit messing around and come to the best site... -
by malogroHello all,
I'm stumped on this guy, so wanted to see if anyone has any further ideas:
Intro:
This is an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-55M1 with unknown prior history (bought "as-is" on eBay). It charges the battery and powers on from both AC adapter and battery, so I think this rules out main power issues.
Upon attempt to boot, it will "reboot" (meaning powers down and then powers on again) only once, and then stays stuck in a status of lights on / no post / no monitor. Powering on with fn+esc maxes out the fans on first boot attempt,... -
by jose6326Powers on as normal shows an image then powers off after 10 seconds
I have to unplug it from the wall and replug to get it to turn back on but then shuts off
No blown caps
I searched for this model but nothing comes up...3 Photos-

by SteveCHSHi all — I’m trying to diagnose the plate amplifier from a Definitive Technology BP7006 tower.
Symptoms:
- The amp powers on (red light illuminated)
- No subwoofer output
- Main towers still play normally through my receiver
- No audible hum or noise from the sub section
What I’ve done so far:
- Verified fuse continuity
- Visual inspection: no burned parts
- Confirmed speaker driver reads ~5Ω DCR
- Board ID: LT-C126 (stamped on the PCB)
- Cap glue confirmed factory adhesive, not leakage
- Using a UNI-T...3 Photos-

by riki_22Hi everyone,
I’m working on an ASUS B5402CEA notebook.
B5402CEA_MB_R2.2
HA4YT LA-L861P
REV:1B
The board powers on, fan spins for a few seconds, then it shuts down by itself.
I suspect the BIOS might be corrupted.
Could someone please check and clean (repair) the attached BIOS dump?
I’ve also attached a few photos of the motherboard for reference.
Thanks in advance for your help!
