Bush IDLCD26TV16HD - Dim flickering backlight - Fixed

Just fixed this one with a friend. Two 10uF 400~450V caps on PSU replaced. Had been done before -- only one replaced with a 400V Samwha RD. This cap smoked upon application of power. It is important to make both caps 450V or higher! Replaced both with Rubycon BXC (10uF 450V) and it works great.

I can sell 26" easily to students about £80~£90 each. Only paid £25 for it plus £1.50 in caps.

I will offer what help I can.

I am on the look out for another to fit in the basement . I would also settle for a NEC, Pioneer or LG plasma.

I'm after a 50~61" plasma for the home cinema. I know NEC made a very nice 61" 720p one that few are brave enough to touch as it has a lot of issues with the PSU. Won't stop me though. 55" Hitachis are nice, and almost full HD (1280x1080 ALIS.) Not gonna touch any LG using IPMs but their newer plasmas are OK. Not fantastic, but "OK".

I have quite a bit of free time. I will be challenged around exam period, but that is it.

May help with peoples search to include it .
Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

Yes. IPOS 150. IPOS = "Integrated Piece of S**t"?

                            by reessi
                            Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
                            by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

Samsung UN55NU7300F Curved TV. Half side backlight out. Fixed by just removing the rear snap cover
                            by howardc64
TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.

This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.

Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...
