LG 50PC1DA - Not powering up (clicking relay) - Diagnosis video

Despite my thinking it would be an IPM repair, I manage to escape it...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOADH...ature=youtu.be

Bad caps, 10 of them. All Samwha WB.

Hopefully an easy fix. Plus the AC detect issue.

Man, that's a lot of bulging caps. Gotta love those Samwha caps.

      HI Guys!

I Would like to post a succes story from Amsterdam (Holland) :=)
I see a lot of people who post problems but don't react when its fixed so i'll!

During Kingsday on a street market there was a big Box with the text: Free pls take it with!

Well this was my new LG 50PC1DA 55'' inch!

I saw this video as mentioned above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOADH8GxGic

I had the same problem. Remote --->> power --->> ON clicking sound --->> 3/6 seconds ----> CLICK and everything off.

      What did I check:

      1) Y-sus / Z-sus working correctly by disconecting it from the upper middle board
      2) AC -D pin had 4.85 VOLT on it.

I found out that everything was OK except for the 'BAD CAPS' (Dutch - Elko's aka elko)

So I sent it for repair to some random guy in Amsterdam who advertised on a local ebay called: marktplaats.

      How it was:

This was after the Repair - CAPS:

      And there it is!!

In the end I paid €60 aka: $67,26 for a brand new 55 inch LG 50PC1DA

I cleaned everything very nice, took parts of and made it 'dust?' free!

Then i had the following problem - HDMI did not work, sometimes it happens to work by accident but overall i had some weird RED stripes and stipes on the whole screen. In the end it was just a very dusty HDMI connection (first thing i checked), cleaned it and it was working perfect

      So end conclussion - Replaced the bad CAPS total overview: 10x 3300uF. 105gr. 10V. 1x 1000uF 105gr. 10V.

        50PC1DA = 50" not 55"
        TELEFIX

How PLASMA SCREENS WORK, X-SUS and Y-SUS what they do--
