    LG 32lg30 start up problem

    hello every one
and thank you for your time.

    i have a problem with a 32" lcd:
the screen works fine but when i turn it off the standby led goes red (as normal) then when trying to turn it back on the standby led goes off and nothing .... the only way to turn it back on is to unplug the AC for an hour and then it works fine.

i opened the screen and found 4-5 bluged caps , thinking this was the cause i ordered a repair kit with panasonic caps and replaced them (total of 16) on power suply (excluding the 2 big 450v -which looks ok)

    still got the same problem

if any one i familiar with this symptoms any advice will be much apriciated

    thank you

Can you supply any pictures of the parts in the TV?

I don't see any bulged caps -- which ones did you change?

i replaced all the caps on the board exept for the two big ones.

it's hard to see it from a top view but there r 4x1000uf that wasn't flat as the rest of them - so that what i suspected at first...

could it be the 450v caps responsible for this (altough they apear good) or it is somthing more complex?

Can you post a close up picture of the caps you used and a link to the vendor.

May be the picture but the mains fuse looks a bit odd - can you take it out and
clean the fuse and the contacts.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Are you saying that it does EXACTLY the same thing as above AFTER you replaced the caps? I had something similar and it turned out that the video board had been blown, so that even when I had replaced the bad caps, the TV still wouldnt come on.. I guess checking the secondary output voltages would determine whether changing the caps has brought the PSU voltage outputs back to their proper values..

                Hi,
i just fixed my LG 32 lcd tv, psu model lglp2637hep, i found only one bulgecap and psu relay was clicking on and off as soon power cord was applied, and no led lights,
have you checked all the correct voltages on you connector sockets, i had to replace two shorted mosfets, check the voltages on the sockets "my psu has them listed on the board thank goodness) maybe a starting point to find the fault

                regards john
