50PF9830a/37 Philips Plasma Clay Face? Posterizing?

I'm not sure of the proper terminology for this problem, but if you zoom in on the picture you will notice purple dots, banding, and pastel looking faces. Sometimes the screen will flicker and the picture will go back to normal. I've tried a heat gun, freeze spray, and prodding of boards to get it back to normal. I have unseated and seated every connector in the tv. My gut tells me logic board, but if someone has some ideas let me know.

This is called maldischarge or underdiffusion.

Either the Vs is low, the Vset is wrong, the Vscan is wrong or the Yrr/Yfr are set incorrectly.

It is most likely not a control board problem.

Thanks Tom. The voltages are spot on with the values on the sticker. I can vary the number of dots by changing Yrr/Yfr, but it has no effect on the pastel effects. Like I said, sometimes it will just flicker and then start working perfectly out of the blue. As long as it doesn't appear to be the display, I might start swapping boards and the logic board is the cheapest.

Sometimes I just alter the voltages to personal preference. The panel performance can drift with the older plasma panels.

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
          by aidanmo
          Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
          • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
          • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
          • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

Philips 50PUH6400 bad color and gosting / slow motion on one side
          by Cornito
          Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.

Activate power board Philips 40PFH40009/88 tv
          by spantor
          Hello partners.

Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...

TV Philips 40PFT4101/12 - power on loop
          by betmen
TV is Philips 40PFT4101/12, power supply 715G6934-P01-000-002M, motherboard 715G6947-M002-000-004Y (703TQGPL068).
The problem is that when it is plugged in, the TV turns on by itself, the Philips sign appears, the backlight turns on and off a couple of times, and the TV turns off, and so it repeats itself in a circle. It does not respond to the remote and nothing is written on the screen, the red light does not blink.
A few weeks ago, it used to turn on by itself about once a week, but after that it worked, now it doesn't work.
I checked the power supply, voltages are fine,...
