Polaroid FLM-2601 No Power also..

I seen a couple threads regarding this set (Polaroid FLM-2601) but didn't seem to help with my problem. Originally the set had no signs of power at all, I took it apart and noticed the Powersupply fuse was blown, I replaced it and as soon as I applied power there was a "flash" and the white smoke was released from the R911 I believe. I assume something is shorted casing it to 1st have a blown fuse and then 2nd to burn the R911. Where should I begin troubleshooting? I know I will need to replace the R911 but I would assume there is something shorted causing it to burn up, just don't know where to look.

That R911 is the power supply main fusible resistor, if the load is shorted, this resistor will blow. So you will have to check the bridge rectifier, V906, V907 MOSFETs, PFC Diode D903.
if the MOSFET are shorted, then morel likely the IC that drive the MOSFET will be damaged also. I would take the component out to test them off the board.
You should look into replacement board since component level troubleshooting is not easy.
