That must be your body resistance. so OL on all 16-pin of both female connectors? We want to absolutely sure in case you need to get the new board at this point.

yeah, OL on both female connectors.

So should Pins 1 and 2 on the ONL802B connector be getting 176v as the PCB legend states for the LED output? Do you know where the voltage would get kicked up to that amount? I test the surround area where those 4 electro caps are and keep getting 107v as the highest voltage I can find.

I have not look real close at the bottom side of the board to see how they drive the LED strings yet.

It looks like the pins on those two connectors are linked but the picture is not shown. Can I see the picture that clearly show the traces between the two connectors?
It also looks like the LED are edge lit from the left and the right side of the panel based on the labels of the pin as L1+ L1- (L1~L8), R1+ and R1- (R1~R8).
At this I may not be able to troubleshoot it down to component level.

Re: Samsung UN46D7000 46'' LED; No Power

Some pins on the same side - even numbered or odd numbered, are linked. The following are linked:

            802A Pins:

            14/16
            4/6
            3/5
            13/15

            802B Pins:

            3/5
            13/15
            4/6
            14/16

Are there any other tests I can do to totally confirm it is the PS board thats bad?

At this point, not much. we know that the LED power supply is not putting out the correct voltage as printed on the board. I do not know what else you can do to be 100% sure.

Re: Samsung UN46D7000 46'' LED; No Power

would the lack of voltage to the LED cause a total non-power up? I had experienced it not turning on but some time later I came back in the room and there was sound but no picture. The guy I got it from said it works sometimes but often not, so if it works sometimes its not a total dead part thats causing it but something intermittent? I checked the electro caps and they all seem ok so I'm kinda stumped

That is another problem, backlights are just for the light source. You can lose the lights source but the main board should still function with sound, etc. you just cannot see the pictures since there are no light sources.
How old is this TV? It does not sound like it is a reliable TV.

probably 2 years- its a 3D tv and has an USB 3 port on it (not sure when they were introduced) probably 2011 is when the TV was made.

The no picture but sound incident happened once and briefly.

Also; when I touch any of the panel buttons the front LED flashes rapidly.... Is that an indicator that the its a problem with the buttons?

                            D7000 is an early-mid 2011 model.
Samsung LED TV quality seems quite dodgy, lots of issues!

why is that? Because the it works sometimes? Or because I mentioned how the sound came on momentarily and then the TV shut off?

In my opinion, yes. Many times in electronics, it is not possible to definitively rule out a given part by measurements. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut instinct, and order the part you think is bad.

                                  UPDATE.

Got the new PS board today: Tv still does not work : /

If I unplug the connection to the Logic board and plug the wall plug in, I get the LED backlit so the old PS board was problematic.

Is there a reset or something I might be missing that is causing this not to work?

I got the same model PS board from River Valley Electronics - as was linked on the first page of this thread.

                                  Thanks.

You can try MUTE, 1, 8 , 2 to reset. I have a feeling you also have main board problem as in post 28 & 32.

Actually it came on and works. I took the outer rim off the rear and reset some cables - not sure if that fixed it. If it did, that may worry me. Perhaps I needed to plug in just the PS board with the logic board first?

Are these TVS - LED, poorly vented? I watched tv for about 30-40 min and the rear left where the PS board is was a little warm. Nothing extreme - like hot to the touch, but I'm just wondering if they are supposed to get a little warm.

The LEDs have very little cooling and are quite heat sensitive.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

                                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

                                            Hi guys
I have a B&O Omen laptop here. It has very specific fault symptoms, hopefully someone can give me some guidance

If I plug in a known good 180W third party charger the little LED next to the power jack on the laptop flashes red once, but the laptop will not start. It will not flash red again unless you unplug and reconnect the power.

If I remove the main battery (I can't see a cmos battery) then the led by the jack does not flash when I plug in the adapter, but if I press the power on button with adapter attached it flashes once white every time...

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...
