Re: Samsung LN32C540F2DXZA: Won't turn on, PS and Inverter OK
I get 12V on 2, nothing on Pin 4.
3.3v on 5&6, nothing on 7 and 8.
It is a 4801A BADD1B...Last edited by beedoola; 12-09-2014, 11:13 PM.

4 Pin Mosfet or the 8 Pin IC you have circled?
I tested the pins on that IC and I can't tell if they're supposed to be but pins 5 and 6 are connected. I can't tell on the PCB if they're supposed to be.
pin 7 and 8 are also connected (i.e. show continuity test on my DMM) but I can clearly see they share trace....

Re: Samsung LN32C540F2DXZA: Won't turn on, PS and Inverter OK
Tried that and nothing happened, no shorts, as far as I can tell.
plugged in, Pin 2 is 54R, Pin 16 is 25R
unplugged they drop in resistance, after powering pin 2 is around 10M and drops, Pin 16 was less and drops over time....Last edited by beedoola; 12-08-2014, 06:22 PM.

Re: Samsung LN32C540F2DXZA: Won't turn on, PS and Inverter OK
I heated up the board and that did not get it to power.
Pin 2 - Switch Power and Pin 16 - SW Inverter both are shorted to ground when the PS is hooked up.
When measuring the Main board without the PS connected, or anything else, those pins to do read as shorted to ground.

Yes, I see the legend on the PCB, but there aren't any numbers near the pins to say which is Pin 1, etc.
I'm not sure if they go: 1, 2
3, 4
or
1
2
3
4
etc....Last edited by beedoola; 12-07-2014, 02:50 PM.

Re: Samsung LN32C540F2DXZA: Won't turn on, PS and Inverter OK
Can someone tell me the Pinout of this connector on the main board?
When the power board is connected, something from the main board shorts all power - measure the voltage on the PS board and I get nothing (with the MBoard connected), unplug the main board and the voltage on the PS board reads 24v, as it should.
I need to know the Pinout for the main board so I can see if I can track down the short.

Samsung LN32C540F2DXZA: Won't turn on, PS and Inverter OK
I have a 32'' Samsung. The power supply voltages test fine and when I connect the PS board to the Backlight inverted and plug give it all power, the backlight comes on.
When I hook up the main board back up with the PS and Inverter, I get nothing.
Blinking red light on the front panel.
Is the Main board just toast, or is there anything I can do to troubleshoot it?

Samsung LN46A530P1FXZA advice; vertical lines on half of screen
I'm thinking of buying the mentioned tv that has this issue:
I wanted to know if anyone might think this is a manifestation of a particular part/location. I understand there is limited info here. I was hoping maybe the description might ring a bell for someone where similar symptoms were preset and were the result of known/repaired part.
I'm trying to gauge whether it would be worth it to buy the tv.
thanks....

will a fan behind the tv help?

Re: Samsung UN46D7000 46'' LED; No Power
Actually it came on and works. I took the outer rim off the rear and reset some cables - not sure if that fixed it. If it did, that may worry me. Perhaps I needed to plug in just the PS board with the logic board first?
Are these TVS - LED, poorly vented? I watched tv for about 30-40 min and the rear left where the PS board is was a little warm. Nothing extreme - like hot to the touch, but I'm just wondering if they are supposed to get a little warm.

Re: Samsung UN46D7000 46'' LED; No Power
UPDATE.
Got the new PS board today: Tv still does not work : /
If I unplug the connection to the Logic board and plug the wall plug in, I get the LED backlit so the old PS board was problematic.
Is there a reset or something I might be missing that is causing this not to work?
I got the same model PS board from River Valley Electronics - as was linked on the first page of this thread.
Thanks.

Re: Samsung UN46D7000 46'' LED; No Power
why is that? Because the it works sometimes? Or because I mentioned how the sound came on momentarily and then the TV shut off?...
