    Hyundai HU-LCD1902F 19" TV - blue screen

    Hi,

I have a Hyundai HU-LCD1902F 19" TV which whenever I connect a source to this TV it will remain just a clear blue display.

I have tried to look physically for bad caps but everything seems fine to me.

Hope that someone can help me.

    Thanks.

Could be a voltage regulator problem. Test as indicated in this thread:

Hmm, no regulators are receiving power. Did you definitely use the DC20V range of your meter? Probe in Volt/Ohm and in COM? Is the COM probe (black) grounded to the metal frame? (back of LCD is good place.)

            Is the sound present?
I suspect a problem with that large IC in the centre... which might be difficult to get a replacement for.

I looked at that, the soldering looks a bit odd - you could try slight pressure on it to see if anything changes on screen perhaps try heating gently with a hairdrier and see if that changes anything.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

ok so i did what you did and the problem persisted. I noticed that the large IC is lifted from one side as if someone removed it and tried to re-solder it again and did not put it back in the exact position.

That could definitely be a problem!
Has anyone worked on this unit beforehand?

i don't think that removing it and re-installing it could solve the problem right? just to point out something, i noticed that if it stays on a blue screen for long while navigating with the source it automatically turns off

It might be shutting down because no signal has been detected.

If the chip truly has loose pins, it is unlikely to work.

i dont know if someone has worked on it before because it wasn't mine. so do you suggest that i try to re-solder it?

Sorry missed the post. The best bet would be to solder it, if you are capable, or source a new main board -- might not be worth it for a 19".
