i changed several vga cables and also tried it with a PC and 2 laptops but the same result.

Hi,
I have an AOC e905Swdak which has a strange display color all of a sudden. It starts showing whitish, greenish and also pinkish display and other strange colors.
I tried to look for bulged caps but there aren't any. I connected another CCFL bulb and it turned on fine.
Kindly find attached photos of the boards.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
I have done the test as you suggested. The attached photo shows that one set of bulbs turn on and the other set tries to turn on with the result that both sets of bulbs turn off.
I have re-done the voltage tests as below:
12v -> 16.7V
12v -> 16.7V
GND
GND
5v -> 5V
5v -> 5V
GND
N.C -> 0V
ON -> 3.3V
DIM -> 3.3V
M/S -> 4.4V

You were right, turning down the brightness as low as possible does make a difference. It stays longer twice the time. Will try to get the readings tonight.

Those are with both boards connected to the power but not to the screen and pc, will retake the readings with everything connected. The negative probe should be on the GND right?...Leave a comment:
