Hey Bud, I have a question about my tv. It is the same tv. I swapped all the boards I could swap on my tv and now it turns on. All I get is a black screen now. When I power it on the red led indicator on the front does not shut off unless I push a button on the remote. Any ideas?

On the power supply board LED backlights power supply, the connector that goes to the main board, you need to look for PS_ON pin, BL_ON pin on the power supply board and see what DC voltage you are getting when the TV is off and when the TV is ON.

OK, found the BL_ON and PS_ON. I have no way to turn TV on, though. Can only plug it in. When plugged in, no voltage on any pin in the connector to main board that includes the two pins just mentioned.

Is there any way to try to turn on the TV without the little icon of a power button on the bottom glass that also functions as the switch? (Also, no response when pushing power button on remote.)

So far, the only thing I find voltage in is the power cord!

I took a look at the basic troubleshooting document, and frankly most of it is beyond me, unfortunately!

I got power and the backlight to come on now. I just have no menu or display on my screen. I am wondering if there is some compatibility issue or something since I swapped all the boards on my tv. could it be that the part arent compatible with each other, for example when you put a new motherboard on a computer you cant you use the same hard drive without formatting it.

nDOG, so you can see the backlights and the screen has a slight glow to it but no pictures? If that is the case, check the SMD fuse on the T-CON board to see if you are getting 5 or 12vdc on both ends of the fuse with ref to the chassis ground.

Hello,
New to the board. I have a different issue but same TV. When powering on I have a purple screen, screen will come and go, sound will crackle. Then it will run normal, sometimes i will lose sound and picture for a brief second then back to normal.

Hello, I currently have a Samsung UN55B8000XF television that will not power on, only clicks. When I disconnect power to the main board the back lights do come on. I don't really want to buy a whole new main board, is there any suggestions you would have? Specially @Budm??
