I got power and the backlight to come on now. I just have no menu or display on my screen. I am wondering if there is some compatibility issue or something since I swapped all the boards on my tv. could it be that the part arent compatible with each other, for example when you put a new motherboard on a computer you cant you use the same hard drive without formatting it.

Hey Bud, I have a question about my tv. It is the same tv. I swapped all the boards I could swap on my tv and now it turns on. All I get is a black screen now. When I power it on the red led indicator on the front does not shut off unless I push a button on the remote. Any ideas?Leave a comment:

This tv is weird because you can't get the backlight to actually work without having the power board to connected to the mainboard. There are pics that i posted of the back of my tv in earlier posts....Leave a comment:

I would say start with the power board since it won't power on. I never got mine to work again but, it is a different issue. Part #BN44-00362a

it looks like this is the board for your tv, which is different than mine. So your problem may or may not be the same thing I am experiencing. As far as I know the capacitor problem isn't with the LED tv's.

Well, I swapped the power supply board and it started working. Then just messing with it, trying to figure out what the actual problem was it stopped working again. What I have concluded is that there is a solder on the back of the board that shorts out to the chassis. I haven't replaced it again yet but, I am pretty sure that is what problem is...
If you were to swap the board and just only put the screws on the top side of the board it should be fine. The screw in the middle on the bottom side seemed to be where the issue was,...Leave a comment:

Yes, I removed the heatsink because I couldn't see all of the components clearly. When it is all connected, I don't any voltage at the poles or the connection at the top of the board on the right. When I disconnect it all, there is still power to the board on the right. I can watch it dissipating on my multimeter.Leave a comment:

Boston Acoustic powered subwoofer wont power on
I picked up a home audio subwoofer that I can't get to power on. I am assuming it is a problem with the power supply. I have voltage coming off of the first board on the left but, nothing coming out of the boards on the right. There are no signs of bad components. Any ideas?... -

I swapped the power board and it worked! I put it all back together and it didn't work again! There is something shorting out. It may be something on the main board? I did notice that it looked like the may be a solder on the main board that is grounding out and shorting out the power board. Now, it doesn't work and I still don't know what the problem could be.Leave a comment:

what am I supposed to be doing? I disconnected the output of the power board to the main board and I didn't get anything. Then I disconnected the output from the main board to the power board and I got the same condition that I had before with the clicking and not staying powered....Leave a comment:

I have the same issue. Was there ever resolution? It is obviously the power board but, is there any specific part to replace? It sounds like a relay is clicking. Not sure what part to replace though.Leave a comment:
