Sony KDL60NX810 - Blue Vertical Line

I have a 1 1/2 year old Sony LED Tv. A single vertical blue line has developed in the same spot on the screen. The blue line appears as the tv heats up, the hotter the tv (and room) the darker the blue line. The blue is intermittent meaning that is appears for 12 to 14 second intervals going on and off.

This affects all HDMI inputs, TV and BluRay.

Any thoughts on this? The interval timing makes me think the t-con or mainboard.

    TIA...Rick

I would think bad LCD panel personally, common with Samsung LCD panels (used in this TV.)

Might be a line shorting to another intermittent signal.

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
      by TrueSword88
      Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

      Hoping to fix...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
      by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Sony Data Projector vplfh31 3LCD Blue missing
      by budwich
Got this projector which has a problem with a lack of blue. Menu text is very yellow... expecting white. If I input a signal from a test disc via hdmi, a red screen image shows a uniform red as expect. Green similar while the blue does show but with non-uniformity. Looked at the in-polarizers. They are all good and clean. Running the projector to expose the light area in the prism block, shows each color well represented, all looking about the same intensity from the naked eye. Looking at the prism block itself and sending a light source back into the "out port", the individual...
