    Panasonic TC-50PX24 10-Blink

    Hello all,

This Panasonic has the 10 blink code upon pushing the power button.

I was truly wondering if someone had the literature to this model or this generation. The 11th Gen troubleshooting guide was only good until after the first step.

But any help would be appreciated.

    Other minor details:
The panel does seem to try to fire up before going into error
According to 11 Gen guide, SC board is OK
Does take about 5 seconds to shut down to 7 blink when only power supply is connected to main.

    Re: Panasonic TC-50PX24 10-Blink

I'm thinking since the code has changed and it stays on for a few seconds then the A-board and P-board are ok.

With the SS and SC disconnected I'd confirm the volatges are good. Check Vsus.

I think some of this info would be handy for you. The p50c2 uses the same SC & SS boards as yours.

At a guess with the very limited information I'm thinking either the SC or SS are faulty. if I had to pick as a guess, SC.

Hopefully the flow chart will suit your application. pretty sure you'll get on top of this quick enough. From what I've heard SC board failures seem fairly common. Both of my recent 2009/10 panasonic successes had faulty SC. One was completely shorted, the other generating low VAD voltage.

According to your chart, the SS board is faulty....I suppose we'll see, those are actually pretty cheap so I hope that is the problem.

If following that chart and that's the result then it is i guess. So your saying you reconnected the SS and got the 10 blink. if so then it would have to be the SS otherwise it would have to show 7 blink for a disconnected SC.

No, i was just assuming it would be another SC board but the fault tree looked pretty good to give the correct result.

Yes I did. But I have been screwed before by Panasonic's error codes lol.

The error codes are generally a start point. Sometimes it's actually the fault but depending on the severity. My recent 4 blink panasonic post is a really good example.

Even had a tech suggest i was off track deducing it was a SC fault in another forum but you're always going to have to either prove or disprove the SOS that's blinked. I'd never order a part purely based on the SOS blink without checking all the basics.

My 19" panasonic post was also another where the fault was in the backlight but the TV was unable to generate a SOS with the part that was shorted.

That's the fun, being smart enough to work with the evidence you find.

It should be a cheap enough fix for you i hope.

Alright, well now it is telling me the SC board is bad now lol. I guess I will order that now, since that does fit the flow of your problems.

SC board is in and it does cut on and is operable...except now I have 2 horizontal arrays of 3 lines. Looks like buffer boards.

Oh and I do think the SS might have been bad too due to comparative reading between new and old. Some components tested shorted too.

Hi. So your saying you followed the 10 troubleshooting tree from back up the thread, narrowed it down to the SS board; replaced the SS board and after reassy, you got 7 blinks, purchased the new SC board and your TV works?

I'm just confirming before I buy the SC and try it too.

Thank you very much for your time,

I'd be inclined to fault find it instead of assuming. Not sure what you see for sale but some high prices for these.

Yes! I downloaded the manual from above and will begin all of the electrical testing stuff as soon as I find a manual for my free Harbor Freight multimeter that's been on a shelf since I got it. Thanks for the link to the board. I'm sure I'll be back with questions after I do the 7 blink troubleshoot.

So you have 7 blink not the 10 blink as per the OP?

I had a 10 blink, did the 10 blink troubleshoot posted above, with that I came up with needing the SS board. Bought that and installed today. Turned the TV on and now I have 7 blinks. This time though, I will be more thorough in my troubleshooting before I jump off and buy the SC board.

I couldn't find the next part, and since I had already spent 35 on a free tv, I went ahead and cut my losses. Good luck to you though. The people here seem really great and eager to help. Merry Christmas!

I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                                          Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
                                          by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code

I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
                                          • Plug AC in to back of TV
                                          • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
                                          • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
                                          • If the TV is unplugged and then
                                          ...

                                          Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

Panasonic Viera TX-P46G10E 11 blink even after fan replacement
                                          by Jacksoft
                                          Hi all,
I have here a Plasma TV TX-P46G10E that before had a problem where it had issues with 11 blinks (FAN SOS) BEFORE starting normally. After that it works for all day long.
It had some bad cold solder and I remade them all. After I replaced a fan that was half-dead (no RMP signal from the respective pin, but ok with 9V).
Now the TV power up instantly and works perfect... only without the backplate!
If the backplate is placed on the TV shutsdown after about 10min and start blinking with the 11 blinks. If I shutdown and re-powerup it starts blinking after a bunch of...
