Philips 42PF5520D/10 just clicks no power lights wont come on
i can anybody help i have a Philips 42PF5520D/10 plasma tv was working great but over time it as been taking longer and longer to come on now it wont come on at all, all i get is just a clicking noise like its coming on but i have no power or standby light i have taken the psu out and tested all the caps and they were all ok a couple was low so i replaced them so can anybody help me am i looking in the right place or is the fault somewere else or is on the psu

How did you test the caps - with a capacitance meter or ESR meter?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Really need an ESR meter to check them. The capacitance can be ok but the cap still be bad. What are the voltages coming out of the power supply?Comment

i dont now as i removed the board to test every think i will have to put back in and do a test on themComment

I am working on one, I ordered the controller pcb but emos send me for 42pf5521 instead , I need the dump for the two eprom 24c16 and 24c32. I have clicking sound as well . problem I believe is corrupted eproms. Have you got the dump of the two eproms plzComment

I'm suspecting the actual CCFL or EFL being bad, just not sure how to test, but would like to confirm.
TV clicks upon plugging in AC. When I press the PWR ON button, clicks again.
LED on the Main board comes on green (Assuming some diagnostics), Blue LED on the TCON comes on also when I turn the TV on, but turns off about 30 seconds later.
3V3 ST is on (3.26 V)
Standy 3.3 V (off) when I press power button goes to 0.16 V
12Vssb is 11.75 V (on), 0.18 V (0ff)
+12Voud is 13.8V (on) ~ 0V off
-12Voud is -12.4 V (On) ~0V... -

i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.
I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?
If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

Hi all!
A few days ago my TV suddenly turned off while watching Netflix from my media PC. Only connected cables were HDMI and TOSLINK. It immediately started doing this loop where the power led turns on for a second and then turns off. You can also hear a click inside the TV every time.
I tried the easy stuff first like disconnecting everything including the power cord but that didn't fix the issue.
Now I opened the TV to check if there are any bad capacitors but as far as I can tell, they look okay.

Hi i have an issue with LG 42lw4500 wich after pressing the power button flashes red then goes solid white light 2 clicks and nothing , the weird thing is SOMETIMES if i leave the tv plugged in it would come on and fuction normally (i should mention that vertical rectangle going from the bottom to the top of the screen have some red dot artafacts it only appear in somthing like the tv input menu and any input i give like vga , but not in the system menu , i thought i should mention this , i cannot confirme if the tv had this issue when it was up and running in its previous owner . ) when checking... -

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.
Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...
