fsp271-4f01 repair and wire coding - schematic?

    Hi,
I am repairing a fsp271-4f01 power supply. I have searched all threads here, and the fspgroup web site has no schematics for this supply.

Does anyone know what the wires do on CNS1? The Orange wire is 5v standby and that is all I have figured out. I need to know how to 'turn on' the power supply. Usually, the standby voltage pin should be connected to the O/F pin, but I do not know which that is. I have tried various combinations, but still only have the 5v standby - nothing else.

    I have replaced 3 mosfets (Q3, Q4, QS6), and now I suspect IC3 (IR2184S). I read only 5.2 ohms between pins 4 and 5 - almost a short.

Bridge rectifier, caps, fuse, and all else appears to be good.

There is also a dead short (0.00 ohms) on ICS1 and ICS2 between pins 3 and 5. I can't read what these are, so I can't find a datasheet to determine if thus is normal.

    Suggestions?

I really need a schematic and to know what all of the wires do. I emailed FPSGROUP and requested a technical drawing, but there was no reply.

    Thank you for your time!

What device is this power supply from? Brand and model?

Is it an ATX power supply? The "power on" wire is usually bright green. Short it to ground and the unit should come alive.

Also check the ATX connector pinout: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATX#Power_supply

It's either for an olevia or syntax LT42HVI. I've had the pleasure of complete failure trying to repair this supply. Q3, Q4, & QS6 were shorted on mine too plus the fuse. I replaced those components and tv still refused to turn on. I do remember testing alot of componts in circuit and they would read shorted but after i removed them they would test good. I tried calling FSP group and they never answer the phone or return messages about having it repaired. There was a repair service on ebay but by the time i saw the listing i had already put my majic touch on the board and they would probably have sent it back

Some people have replaced just the mosfets and fuse and the tv worked so hopefully you'll be in that group.

I am pretty sure it is from a Syntax LT42HVI. I am repairing it for someone else. I successfully repaired one previously, but this one is giving me trouble like you said Mr. Bill. It is an FSP not an ATX.

          Thank you everyone!
