  • Re: Samsung LN46C600F3FXZA No backlight

Actually, no. As I said in my November post (which must have looked like a signature file since I got no replies), replacing the capacitor only made the back lights flash on for a second which was a step forward from them doing nothing. There was still something else wrong.
I ended up purchasing another board since I didn't know what to replace next.

    Thanks Bud,
I intended to post here some time ago since I have the same TV with the same problem, but didn't want to Hijack the post. I hope I am not...
It seemed that the original poster abandoned this thread some time ago.

    _______
So, after a long day yesterday, I accidentally replaced the capacitor in my good power supply that already worked. I got excited prematurely.

I replaced the same C1818 cap in my bad supply, and now the back lights only flash on for a split second and then shut off again....

  • Re: Samsung LN46C600F3FXZA No backlight

Hi, I just thought I would throw in my two cents. I have the exact same set with the exact same problem. After replacing the inverter controller IC, which was NOT the problem, I found that C1818 on the power supply had gone bad. It read full open and registered no ESR. I replaced it and am good to go! It is just a .47uF 1Kv block style film capacitor.

Hope this helps someone who might have the same problem!

  • Re: Plasma Y-MAIN board LJ92-01200A

I answered my own question after some research.

It looks like ZD5003 on the Y board is an RLZ18 Zener that is no longer available.

    Cross Reference analogue: BZT52C18-7-F 18V 500mW

Available both from Mouser and Digi-Key

    Hope this is helpful.

  • Re: Samsung LN40A330J1DXZA 40" LCD no power

    Hi. Great photos!

If you replace the bulged ones, that should fix your problem. However, it is a good idea to just replace them all while you have it open and apart. Even if they are not bulged, they may still be dried out from age and heat. They just don't show the obvious signs of failure.

Hope this helps! This is my first reply here! Yay!!!!

  • Magnavox Power supply help 37MF321 LCD TV - Constant 24v inverter voltage...

    Hi, I am working on a 3138 103 6338.1 power supply.

I have replaced all electrolytics and several other items. I have tested all Diodes and transistors.

The main problem was a shorted mosfet 7062 which I replaced with a 13A W13NK80Z rather than with an 18A W18NK80Z which I have on order.

All of the voltages are what they are supposed to be at.

    The issue:

The 24V to the inverters is always on. From my experience, this should be off until 3v is applied to the standby pin 9 on connector 1089. The power supply does turn on...

  • Re: fsp271-4f01 repair and wire coding - schematic?

I am pretty sure it is from a Syntax LT42HVI. I am repairing it for someone else. I successfully repaired one previously, but this one is giving me trouble like you said Mr. Bill. It is an FSP not an ATX.

    Thank you everyone!

  • fsp271-4f01 repair and wire coding - schematic?

    Hi,
I am repairing a fsp271-4f01 power supply. I have searched all threads here, and the fspgroup web site has no schematics for this supply.

Does anyone know what the wires do on CNS1? The Orange wire is 5v standby and that is all I have figured out. I need to know how to 'turn on' the power supply. Usually, the standby voltage pin should be connected to the O/F pin, but I do not know which that is. I have tried various combinations, but still only have the 5v standby - nothing else.

    I have replaced 3 mosfets (Q3, Q4, QS6), and now I suspect IC3 (IR2184S)....

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello, My name is Seth. I am from Colorado and have been repairing and parting out LCD and Plasma Tvs for a few years. I have come here for the wealth of information available so that I can learn more, and find help with proclems, I can't solve on my own. I look forward to being here!
