I do wonder, but I think the A board allows the protection to be active for as long as 200ms (measured time) before timing out - as otherwise it would be active when starting up even with a good board.

dammit. Stepped on the metal plate on the back of the screen. Cracked it!!! I guess that's another one I need to get rid of. I'll stick to less ambitious projects for now.

Tragic. It hurts, just like he perfectly good TV i had actually fixed then left a connector off re-connecting it with stored charge blowing the COF chips destroying the panel.

I was looking forward following this.

        Next time I guess.

Spoke to a guy in a forum here who's a service repairer. Lots of SOS7 SC failures with recent Panasonics.

This is SOS6 actually now. SOS7 was due to loose buffers.

I've suspected that the panel may have been bust in the first place, maybe just chipped on the edge or something. It went really easily from the top corner with just a little bit of pressure. Essentially everything is there for it to work it just can't build up the energy on the bulk caps to do the first subframe. Also with cracked panel it does 6 blinks as well.

Exactly the same problem only around 50V on the bulk caps. Maybe the panel was indeed hairline fractured before.

Well when my stuff arrives I hope I have more luck than you. have you ever purchased any parts from Reclaim247? he sells his stuff very cheap. I'm getting a SC delivered for about $50AUD or 35GBP

Yes it is a charity who pick up TVs and repair or recycle them. I bought a Samsung X-main from them once, fast shipping, fixed a TV. Needed in this throw away culture! They are cheap I do like that. I think the person with the £95 SC board is never going to sell it, if they made it £25 I would have maybe gone for it.

Well that's interesting. On Ebay yes/no? Actually rang the guy from here about my board and I think he was a little shocked by it. The only issue I had was i wanted more info than they supply and I don't think they have the knowledge that you can have various revision boards for different models.

When he gave me the part numbers they were from a 42" model not the 50' he advertised. They just happened to both use the same pcb but different component layout.

100% record is pretty good selling recycled parts so he must be doing something right. They do communicate well which helps when purchasing long distance.

They have probably got the manufacturer part lists. They are available in many service manuals. In my one experience, service was good, prices were reasonable.

                        by Egidio85
                        Hi everyone, I have a Samsung NP750QFG-KA3DE , MainBoard VESTA3-15 BA92-24515A

the battery is charged. pressing the power button the blue LED flashes 3 times and then stays blue. then the sequence repeats.
                        the fan does not start.

I noticed that I have no power on the processor and it does not heat up. could it depend on the bios?

any advice on what to check?

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
                        by BobbyMJ
                        Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

                        My questions:

                        Is that correct, 93k ohms?
                        Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

                        Hello

I have an TV Led 4K Selecline 65s18 with mainboard T.MS3458.U801

The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.

Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .

All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps

But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power...

HP Elitebook 850 G8 CAPS lock flashes 7 times and charging light always on
                        by esqmooo
                        Hi,
I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. Note: the charging light directly comes on when the battery is connected or the charger is connected.

Problem switching on LG TV, red LED flashes 3 times
                        by ayecrut
                        Hi everyone,

I have picked up an LG brand television, manufactured in 2014. The model is LG-49UB850V / LG-49UB850V ZD (Link).

When I tried to start it the first time it didn't work, the screen remained black and the red LED blinked 3 times or just stayed on all the time. After moving it and plugging it in somewhere else, it restarted once or twice, but since then it hasn't started with the same symptoms.

                        Other information:
                        - The physical button that turns on the TV without the remote doesn't seem to work. Nothing happens when you press it, we can only...
