Just saw your reply. Interesting, it looks like that is the correct part but it's only a 30 pin. The connector is marked 33 pin but not all pins are used. What is the complete model of the set you found?

Hi to everyone who has offered some feedback. Trying to scrape off the insulation to expose more wire just did not work. Sometimes the trace is visible, but more than not is simply comes off the harness. If I could find another way to remove the insulation, non-abrasively, like with a hot air station, that might work but it seems a long shot. I might try my own harness soldered pin to pin between the two connectors since I have had no luck with used part sellers on Ebay or any where else.

Much thanks to all, but will remain open to assistance and suggestion, truly I don't want this one going to scrap for such a little issue---well little part.

Just a thought, i wonder if you could use and old IDE hard drive cable for your new harness? Just split it down to the required amount of pins and then strip the ends.

Here are some pictures of the damaged cable and a picture of the board where the mass termination FFC cable connects to one of the two boards. Note the through holes in the board behind the connector. 10 of the total pin connection are ground with one ground preceded by two signal pins. This pattern is repeated for all pins within the connector/FFC interface. The through holes would allow 28 Ga solid wire connection if I have to go individual wires to replace the FFC. I have a damaged screen LC-32D6U in my garage that I have not yet parted out. I will check when I get a chance if it has the same ribbon in it. If so, you are welcome to it. If you find that it is the same one before I do, just shoot me a PM.

The 27" is different, but the 32" and the 37" are the same as yours.

I'm going to go lug that tv into the house, and rip it apart. I will post a picture of the cable when I get it out.

Ok, the harness labeled LV in mine is not a ribbon. It has molex plugs on both ends and I've attached a picture of it. I'm not sure if they used different ones in different chassis, but this is definitely not what you need.

At least this gave me the motivation to part this thing out.
