• Re: TVPartsToday Not Recommended

I purchased a system board from this company. Order ship same day received it in two days using their standard shipping. Had to have that board replaced included in their standard term as it appeared defective. The replacement board was also sent same day with no hassle whatsoever. Customer decided not to pursue the repair, then I returned both boards with their free return (defective original board) then gave me a refund less original shipping, with no restocking. They were always pleasant and willing to be helpful. I’m very pleased and will...

Update following system board replacement

Unfortunately no change but pursuing a couple follow on checks and requesting clarification on an earlier diagnostic testing.

-When removing one of display ribbon connections at the T-Con board with the power board connected to the system board, then applying AC power, I reported seeing the backlights turn on while viewing the rear panel and seeing a very dim backlight, across the screen, barely noticeable viewing the front of the display. Should the backlights be fully turned on at...

Lotas mention this site which I took as a reference location to see the board to which he referred in his explanation, you followed his post with a link containing the same vendor's name which I mistakenly took to appear as a recommendation. You obviously knew this vendor was not one to be recommended since you knew what complaints had been written.

Shame on me for not “catching” that link was to a warning but with everything in mind, you were careless not make this clear the link was to a warning. I'm not inferring you did this with intent...

My response to member nomoresonys was not intended to suggest you (Lotas) posted the link but somehow, my response to nomoresonys was directed to you which was not my intention. Very sorry that reply was apparently sent to you as it was not my intention to do so since you did not post that single link to this vendor....

Great info thanks. I suppose the board number you recommended was one that is more universal for this series and will accept the appropriate programming or paring with the exact TV configuration in which it would be installed. How is this done exactly, further reading you could suggest. I've ordered the exact replacement and trust no mod to the configuration is required.

I did unknowingly purchase from a vendor who has been found by others here to be less than honest but the link was provide this thread with no warning! and Since...

I just saw the link you posted to my thread. I thought it was a recommendation as a source which I had requested, but then I read the reviews today after I ordered.

WHY WOULD YOU POST A LINK TO A SOURCE TO ANOTHER MEMBER LOOKING FOR A SOURCE WITHOUT STATING A WARNING DONT GO THERE?

If you did this intentionally I'm shocked that a member here would do this to another unsuspecting member....

I was seeking assistance for a source as well since I haven't found any listed on Shop Jimmy or other providers I have used before. I just want to be sure that a replacement board would not require programming as I am unable to do this. Please advise. Thanks...

Are you saying this could be a programming issue that would not be addressed by a replacement board? If so I need to know ASAP as I do not have a programmer or reader. Do any of the replacement boards require programming?

Thanks again!...

Thanks indeed for the assistance. The board model number on the sticker shows the exact board for this set to be BN-07259E which was in stock at the supplier recommended. I appreciate being told about this source as I was unaware of them. I ordered the exact board and agree that the sys board would seem to be the culprit given no other more classical failures. Much thanks will provide feedback when board is replaced.

Thanks again for the assistance!...

I have the same set. I Hope you are able to get this fixed but in case you aren't able to fix it, I would be interested in the system board, as mine is likely defective. This is a great forum with lots of very helpful and experienced members.

Thanks...

I agree entirely in creating certain tests to further define the actual issue. One thing I also noticed after reconnecting the T-Con and with everything back to normal is that when pushing the set power on button, the standby LED blinks 5 times then extinguishes and does not repeat this cycle until the set is unplugged allowed to sit, then the same action could be duplicated. Not sure this offers any real insight. I would asked if there is anyway to apply a constant DC voltage to the BL PWM pin that would mimic the pulse “on duration” equal...

Results of above procedure:

Power and system board connected normally with one display connection removed, then AC power connected—-standby light blinks about 6 times then stops remaining unlit, Backlights observed from rear panel appear to be fully on and viewing the screen, no display information but backlight dimly has full screen illuminated. The blue LED associated with the connected port illuminates. After removing AC, allowing time for discharge, same connection was performed with the other T-con to display connection made....

Pin 4 pwm bl. “. 0 vdc
Pin 6 power on. “. 3.30vdc

When attempting to switch the set off the power on readings remain the same. Unplugging the set is the only way to reset power on readings.

CORRECTION

PINS 2,4,6,8,10 were mistaken for pins 1,3,5,7,9
No measurements were made on even pins due to location measurement difficulty, will attempt then post.

Un55h6350afxza

Searched for this model here and read some of the threads for insight, always helpful. I don't have the remote for this set to see the setup menu and do not currently have an input source to check the screen. What I determined is the following:

No backlight
No standby light to indicate set is in standby
Measurement thus far:

13.0 vdc standby (set apparently doesn't use 5v standby)
CN803 pins 2,4,6,8 13vdc
390vdc with set on main filter cap.

With system board disconnected from power board set AC connected, backlight are on...

Unfortunately the open source boardview program cannot open these files since they are encoded. Too bad, it's a great post with much information.

Re: Apple iPad Pro 9.7" A1673

For specific issues like no screen due to connecting LCD while hot, look for YouTube videos specifically addressing coil and diode replacement in the backlight section. I have nothing on this model either and faced with bat to ground bus short. There are several ones out here that might give you a clue where to look as the YouTubers usually have full board views they show in the video or they at least identify the components in the video which is basically what is needed. Best of luck to the searches for this boardview, I would be interested in...

• Requesting Boardview for Ipad Pro 9.7

Could someone please post a non-encrypted boardview file for this device?

Have one I would like to save but there is a crowbar short on main bat line of PCB. Before removing PCM I would like to first to eliminate other components or traces for shorts.

Thanks very much!

Thanks very much. No clue this was encrypted so thanks. I wonder why any in the forum would post without a key. What would be the point? Thanks indeed again.
