    LG 42lg3000 TV

    Hey,

I was using another forum to diagnose my problems with a LG 42lg3000 TV

You can view the forum here: (hope I am not breaking any rules posting links to other sites?)

    http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...ml#post3852028

Basically I have replaced all the boards in the TV and it now powers on and stays stable sometimes, but I can work out what the problem is a why it only works either when I constantly bang it or when I turn it on / off or sometimes when I disassemble and reassemble.

Any ideas to get this sorted?

Ok I am having a hard time understanding the last part of the sentence.....so it only cuts on when you bang on it (while pressing the power button or just cuts on? or both?) and works intermittently upon assembly and dis assembly?

And do you have a hard time getting the tv to cut on, stay on, or both?

Either way, it sounds like bad connections/connectors or possibly a bad solder joint I would say caps too but you said you replaced the boards.

Sorry, I can see why you are getting confused. My English was terrible in the last post.

If it turn the TV on, it stays on. Dark at first then gets brighter, all pix-elated. Sometimes the screen just shows tearing on the Y- axis. If I lay the set on its face and stand it up again, it springs into life and the pictures shows up perfect.

I guess it must be a loose connector as I have changed all the boards. Guess I will take it apart again and double check everything.

Ok, so if you are having visual problems then yes, recheck your cables - especially the LVDS cable from the main to the TCON and also the ribbon cables from the TCON to the panel while making sure the ribbons are seated correctly before clamping them down.
