Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
hehe okay. well im giving up on that input board, theres one for 30$ on ebay, that will do it.
i guess like you said there's something hardwired for the 42 or an option into the cpu. anyhow..
i got another issue
weeee, im gonna be good with plasma issues someday ! the issue is, that i got some lag in the picture on one i just put back together.
everything works.. its just the picture redraw is somehow, laggy.. its slow to be refreshed.
ive checked, all the voltages are present and good, i messed a bit with the vsustain voltage, didnt change much. its laggy .. what can cause this behavior ?Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
It could be for example an option-bit burned into the main processor, which is not changeable. I don't know for sure.
The service menu only controls the settings on the input/main board, assuming it is the one for the 50", then it would be sending a 50" signal.Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
what do you mean hard wired for 42'' ?
i have 2 identical input boards, with same rom versions and same components. everything is identical hardware wise so it's something programmed into either an eeprom, a cpu, a rom or any programmable chip
i was wondering if it was configurable into the service menu maybe ? i will continue swapping chips later, need to work a bit nowLast edited by cheebster; 10-02-2012, 11:36 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
It might be the control board is hard wired for 42". I wasn't aware they were swappable anyway.Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
argh. where do you think panel configuration is stored, on that board ?
http://assets.shopjimmy.com/media/ca...0/003_4_16.JPG
so far ive swapped the 2 tsops ic105/6, ic602 the 24c eeprom, then ic202 over the tsop the 24c eeprom, then ic111 another eeprom.. no go
i hope its not stored in the cpu, dammitLeave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
do i need a remote, is it in the service menu ?
eh, do you have a clue where is the panel information stored into, is it the tsop rom chips ? heheLeave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
D'oh!
You need to access the menu and select ISM Method (forget exactly where it is), then White Wash.
42" is 1024x768. 50" is 1366x768.Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
i forgot the board in the oven while over the phone.. lol
this one's dead. oh well, at least ive got a replacement from the broken screen 42'' seems its the same board
im swapping the from tsop chips right now.. cauz when installed, i had only 42'' of the screen working.. and the same blue lines
i really dont know whats causing this thing to bug, but it's sure bugging me.
i will check in a few minutes if it affects the menu. how can i access the white wash mode? i have no remotes (have some coming from china in a week or 2, tho)Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
looks someone was here before me. there was 2 pads shorted, a component called SLIT100. what could this refer to ?Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
its not the same, and i was wrong AGAIN...
for some reason the issue re-appeared. damn, this one is tough. as soon as i ground the input board (put it on the frame) the lines appear. with the board floating not grounded the issue is not there.
does that mean a component is shorted or close to on that input board ?Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
Didn't you have a cracked screen 42 inch model, or am I getting confused here... thought that the LVDS might be the same for that model.Leave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
i was wondering - are all those lvds cable similar, as far as pinout goes ?
ive found a cable, but idk if it would work.. just dont wanna fry things
i'd guess it's ok since lvds is usually standard.. but.. im not sure
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LVDS-Cable-f...item2a2352fc37
would that be ok ?
// edit : oh well, it seems its about the same tv, the toshiba 50hp66.. same boards or very similar design.. i'll buy that oneLeave a comment:

Re: LG Plasma 50PC1DR- Y-SUS Issues
bad lvds cable !!!!
completely stopped after replacing it.
i've tried reflowing a lot of stuff including the lvds connector on control and input boards, but it really stopped after replacing the lvds cable from other tv.
if i put it back it reappears instantly. at least i know now !!
thanks for the support guys !!!Leave a comment:

by grettiI have a MSI Z370-A Pro. The board does not reboot or shut down from the Windows recovery console. USB communications stop and the status light on USB 1 stays on and does not blink. I have programmed a new BIOS with a CH341A programmer already, swapped RAM, PSU, CPU. The board will power off when the power button is held and resets when the reset switch is pressed, but it will not react to the reset switch if already told by software to shut down or restart. The board will reboot from BIOS after a save and exit command.
The MSI BIOS included the ME firmware for the board. The size... -
by PlasMattI have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

by BurgliciousHey all, i have a Samsung PN59D6500 that I rescued from the dumpster and I'm trying to fix it. So the issue I am having is that the TV isnt turning on at all. I have VS,VA,VSC,VE at all the appropriate voltages. I have 3.3V at the PS-On, and 5V also. Whats happening is when i press the power button on the remote the TV has has the relays click, some pixels flash on the screen and then it seems to turn off. It repeats this until the TV is unplugged. I know that the Mainboard has a problematic EEPROM but this seems kinda like a power regulation issue. Anyone have any ideas?

by pixelcapPioneer Kuro Pro 111FD 8 blink red LED.
I have been trying to solve the power-down 8-blink red LED problem with my Pioneer.
So far I have replaced the power supply board, and the digital assembly board, I have reconnected the ribbons to all boards, ensuring the connections are good. Even though the problem is the 8 red light error and not the more common 8 blue light error code, I had Kcrownie,

by SoulFreezeHi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).
After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).
The computer recognizes headphones are connected and displays a popup in windows
Sometimes, the computer will boot up and the sound will be working fine. However, if I run intensive programs and the computer... - Loading...
