    magnavox 37mf321d/37 backlight flashes for second

    here is the scenerio i plug in the tv i see the backlight flash for a second .i push power button i can see the backlight light for sec then it shuts offs.the power light will not stay on.I will post pictures tommorrow any ideas where to start testing or any one has run into this problem.

    found bad ic chip on main board or scaler board same thing ic 7003 is burnt.i will post pictures soon.i was wondering if any one has replaced this ic .and is there any other components that should be replace when this chip burns.

          What is the best way to remove this chip since it has solder under the ic 7003.i was thinking with hot air but was not sure if it would melt solder under ic or it it would damage the new ic chip by getting it hot enough so the solder under it would take when I install it.

            I'm off topic here, I appologize for that, but I would like toask you a favor, could you please give me the panel's model number? I'm looking for one for my Samsung TV and somewhere in a list this TV shows up that it's using the same panel. Thank you.
            With the hot air will work, I have done it before. Don't keep it in one spot, do circles, and don't set it to hot.

                i removed the chip unfornately my patience ran out and i applied a little pressure on the chip and i lost the trace to one of the legs i was wondering if anyone can tell me if i can attach the copper i scraped a little off or is the the wrong place to solder to.any help would be appreciated.picture below is what i did wrong

                  looked at the diagram pin 6 looked like it is not used so i put tv back together turned on got image menu but i keep hearing a sizzling noise then i heard a pop.image gone took board off and ic popped.

                    Thank you for the pictures, sorry about the outcome, you are sure you didn't have a short between pins? Did you checked your work with a lupe?
