      Yup.

No matter what I do, I can't get any reading from any pin on the P6 connector.

I wasn't really eexpecting this, but what I'm reading makes it sound like this is a tell tale sign of a failed P-Board. Kinda sucks that it sounds like it's going to cost me like $150 just to have a tech confirm this for me.. I wouldn't mind ordering a part and putting it in this week if I could find some sort of confirmation...

With all SC/SS disconnected does it measure anything?

Re: Panny TC-P42S1 10 blinks (yes, another one)

Well, my problem isn't that there's ten blinks before I even turn it on, so this check doesn't really apply to my situation I don't think. Not to mention the TC-P42S1 isn't among theeffected model numbers.

I found a place that will diagnose it for me for 50 bucks, so I'm just going to pay them to do it before I accidentally ruin something.

Thanks for the help Tom. I may not have gotten it fixed myself but I sure learned some stuff. Praying for the SS board diagnosis... Although they'll probably just test the P6 and then be like, "you need a P-Board."

Got the diagnosis. They want $250 to fix it.

Bad SC board. It's too bad I can't find anywhere that actually has these in stock... since I know for sure they don't cost $250.

What's the part # on the board... e.g. TNPAxxxx.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Sony KDL-40Z4500 LCD with stripes and 9 blinks (possible BGC board or harness problem
                    by huj3r
                    Hi there!

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 which shows a colored vertical stripes pattern when turning on, with a central black shadow that slowly dissipates within the first 10 seconds.

Photo of the situation after the black shadow dissipates:

After this behavior the red LED will blink 9 times, then pause for a bit, and blink again 9 times, in a loop.

I checked the manual (available here) and this corresponds to "HFR error", quoting from the manual:

                    > This indicates HFR Communication error. [ HFR Communication...

                    by Hakuu
                    Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
