I got the thing to work by changing out the u7 chip on the main board. Now here's the wired thing. When you first turn it on it will work fine for about 30 minutes. Then it will loose video but keep the backlight. You have to unplug it to turn it off. After its been on and looses video you can plug it in 5 minutes later and i t will work for about a minute then loose video again. U33 voltage if fine during all this. U7. Is outputing 1.5 volts when its working but when it loosed video it drops to 1.1 volts but the backlight stays on. I am going to replace u7 but want to know of there is anything else I should look at?

i dont think its cold solder. i can unplug it and plug it right back in and it will have video for about 10 seconds before it looses siginal. the backlight will stay on.Comment

Sound stays on. I have not felt u7 but the caps around it get hot. I changed them all out and same problem still.Comment

Most likely the caps are getting warm from the heat of the regulator. Im thinking this regulator is faulty.Muh-soggy-kneeComment

Too late now but you should have kept on with the old thread - I havent the time to jump from one to the other can you copy the any pictures forward. Is the U7 fed by another regulator - check that when the set is working & non working.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

i did the pressure test and nothing changed. all the other regulators test fine. so im going to go with ben7 and say that the regulator is bad.Comment

Hi, I'll tell you the story of this PC.
The PC was repaired because it had a shorted power supply. What happened was that the plastic covering the buffer battery positioned by the manufacturer on the capacitor melted, thus generating a short.
After the repair, the PC worked, I installed Windows 11 and I may have had some problems with the video drivers, but after a bit of tinkering I think I solved them.
