Hello everyone. I tried to use the Bios provided to me, but without success.
After some time I bought a used motherboard.
Now the laptop works, but after reactivating the suspension it gave me the same problem. I managed to reactivate it after several forced shutdowns.
Instead, trying to hibernate the laptop does not turn on again, and it does so every time I try to hibernate it.
The only solution is to turn it on without RAM and turn it on again, so it starts.
The error is 4 white flashes + 2 orange.
From the manual it seems to be: "[B]Unrecoverable...

Dell Precision 3440 support for CPU 11th gen
Hi, since both the Dell Precision 3440 and the Precision 3450 have the same chipset W480.
I ask you if it is possible to add the correct microcodes for the Precision 3440.
I am adding the list of files that I have extracted from the Bios in order to help you understand if it is feasible.

Yes, sorry, there was the functionality to attach via external URL which misled me.
Thanks for the edit.
Thanks for your time, but it's not working.
However, before the white and orange LEDs flashed, now the LED turns off and the keyboard remains active with caps lock.
However, something has changed.
I tried removing the ram and it should correctly report a problem on the ram with white and orange flashing, so it detects the missing ram.
I also tried changing the CMOS battery. Tried turning it on without any battery and did several...

I did some research and figured out which bios chip. So I performed the dump and very hopefully I wanted to write a bios test that you have already released in this thread.
But with desolation I see that they are all around 8Mb, while mine is 16Mb. So it doesn't seem very convenient to me to delete the 16Mb bios to write an 8Mb bios over it.
I read that: "EC/ME FW on 8Mb and Bios Region on 16Mb". So I'm wondering what should I do.
Thank you
Since I find it inconvenient for the forum to upload a 16mb file, it also seems like I don't have permission to upload...

Hello everyone.
Dell Latitude 7390 I5-8TH
LA-F312P Rev: 2.0 (A01)
s/n 3WJM5S2
LEDs flash at startup, no screen.
I probably (if this is possible) damaged the bios chip because I forgot to remove the batteries.
In fact the chip is not automatically detected and even by putting a similar bios I cannot do the dump with Ch341A. (only 0).
I suspect that the Chip is burnt, I would like to buy a blank one on ebay, but I don't know which one to get for these two reasons:
1. chip model not perfectly readable (doesn't even seem to be winbond)...

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry for not having found the corresponding post, I had searched for it with 80E5, but having misspelled it in the title, it is not correctly indexed.
Now I don't have the laptop at hand, tomorrow when I return I will look for the model number of the card and other data requested in the rules, if the ones I wrote are not sufficient.
Should I continue on the correct thread you pointed me to? hoping not to commit crossposting......

Hi, I have this problem on this laptop.
The bios is very slow to load and although it displays the devices (only in legacy mode) it does not boot.
I bought the bios chip on ebay, but it gives the same problems.
I saw a video on YouTube in which the boot problem was identified based on which Rom was loaded, whether it was winbond or giga... in fact, after loading the correct Rom, the system started.

Help on Video Problem on Dell Inspiron 7459
Hi, I'll tell you the story of this PC.
The PC was repaired because it had a shorted power supply. What happened was that the plastic covering the buffer battery positioned by the manufacturer on the capacitor melted, thus generating a short.
After the repair, the PC worked, I installed Windows 11 and I may have had some problems with the video drivers, but after a bit of tinkering I think I solved them.
However, the PC later presented the problem in the video shared very frequently.
The problem also occurs at startup, in the bios and when using it as a monitor thanks...

Laptop Fujitsu U Series - CPU Damaged?
I have the laptop in question. I would like to repair it thanks to your help.
Symptomology:
The laptop freezes after a few minutes both from the configuration of the bios and from Windows.
-The CPU temperature is high in idle, above 70 ° C and fluctuating, a sign that something is wrong with the CPU.
-The fan seems to be spinning very slow, maybe it doesn't work, but the heatsink remains warm. Perhaps it is the cause that has "cooked" the CPU, but difficult is the cause of the malfunction and the freeze after a few minutes.
-If I press lightly...Last edited by Spikeman; 11-05-2021, 12:54 PM.
