Sony 46" kdl46v160 problem

The tv had one side darker than the other. Now after taking it apart, the side tabs are causing it to have horizontal band flickering. I believe three of them when lightly touched will flicker. I tried using the acrylic pads, but they don't seem to work or stick. If you all can come up with any ideas on how to fix it, i would appreciate it. Here's the pics. Also, there's a brownish tint on the bottom on the same side as the troubled tabs. Thank you for any suggestions on this.

Me and guy at work did one 3 months ago by using chocolate (The heat absorber) cramming the chocolate between the case and ribbon. We leave it here at the shop and run it and has not acted up once. Good luck with it, but without replacing the whole Panel I don't know no other way.

Thank you for replying to the post. I thought it was originally the top tabs, but they, Sony, had those pink pads on there already. I do not know what Padding to get. I read where taped foam pads, acrylic to even metal tape have been used. Not sure even if the t-con board is toast. I even went out and bought the resistors to try it that way. At that point, it was going to be a stretch for my knowledge and decided to abort that method. Also, I'm recently separated and forgot my tools aren't accessible like they use to be. Another factor.

What get me, the tabs seem to be the problem. But, like a golf swing, don't know how to fix them.

So far I tried using some Velcro pads that were laying around. Put some under and on top of the tabs. The horizontal bands are only brighter around the tabs only. The area between the tabs are still dark. Looks like we're on the right trail, but I'm not sure on how to troubleshoot the in-between the tabs area, since there is nothing there to adjust. Or maybe the tabs aren't completely solved.

Update: A top tab far right corner, was actually torn. A burn mark underneath the tear confirmed the short. The panel is gone. Conclusion: Buyer beware.

Just wanted to thank all of the people who run this board. Your are a great help to the consumer as well as the professional tradesman. A last of the few who actually helps the average person anymore. We, the customer, are held hostage by these companies who care more about their shareholders than about service and quality.
