If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Re: Panasonic FM good for replacing bad TV caps?
If they turn on vizio logo goes white but can't be turned off unless the power plug is pulled from the wall would be a very likely candidate for bad 1117 LDO voltage regulator. Before you start swapping caps get a service manual and scroll down to the dc-dc converter flowchart and check voltages. These tvs could only need a 50 cent regulator.

Alright, I will. Just in case of a misunderstanding, the Vizio lights up white and you DO get a screen, it's fully lit up and bright, but it just says "Vizio" in the middle of the screen and won't do anything else.Last edited by Pentium4; 07-24-2012, 07:37 PM.

Like I said, checking them is easy and doesn't take a lot of time.
This thread also talks about the corrupt eeprom as Mr Bill mentioned in post #11.
