    Need 2.2 ohm 1/8 watt 5% Resistors

I need 1 of these resitors but if anyone has one I will buy 10. the only places that have them sell by the 1000. I dont need that many and dont feel like paying $9 for 1. So if anyone has a few to spare let me know.

Nevermind I figured out that the ones I need are 1/6 watt and found them at digikey.

Why can't you just use standard half-watt or watt resistors?

        Maybe because of space reasons.

Exactly there is not enough room for the bigger ones.

I have some quarter watts I can borrow from my work place. I did have some quarter watts at home too, but I'm not sure where they are...

I wonder what part of the circuits it is being used in, or may be it used as fusible resistor since it has such small wattage.

FYI you can get an assortment of 10 each of 170 values off ebay for less than $20... shipping takes about 10 days from hong kong.

Schematic vs. Reality: Where Are the Resistors on My Sharp Clock Radio? Model FY-70CH
                  by TinkerTron
                  Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
                  The schematic...

Is it okay to replace 1/2 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor in AC/DC adapter?
                  by chth96
I have purchased an 100-240v AC/5v 2a DC adaptor from aliexpress, and a month ago It smelled burning when I plugin it powerstrip.
Since then, This AC/DC adaptor have been out of order.
But A few days ago,I replace 0.5 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor(1ohm) in this adapter.
After replacing resistor,It succeed to recharge all of android phone. And When I measure voltage on the two pins of USB port,It shows 5.5v
Is it okay to replace 1/2 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor in AC/DC adapter?
And Is there any possibility that it will suddenly explode as well as to be out...

Bosch 12V and 18V chargers modification
                  by Petr0x
Hi, I would like to share with you small modification to your Bosch tool 12V and 18V chargers.

You can use it for almost all Bosch chargers what I have seen, for example part numbers GAL 18V-20, GAL 18V-40, GAL 1880, GAL 18V-160, AL 1820, AL1115CV, AL1130CV.

Bosch (today also other brands using the same system like Wurth, Fein) does not care if you destroy your batteries, because they can sell you new ones. So the marketing is telling you only about speed of the charging, so you will not wait for your batteries to charge too long. Me as a customer want the tools and batteries...

Hot Air Blew Away Resistors Near Bios
                  by brightest_z
Hi All - I'm in the midst or reprogramming the bios on my gen1 Surface Laptop Studio and I accidentally blew away 2 resistors nearby the bios. I don't have another board to measure values of the missing resistors and schematics aren't available, bbut the bios is a 6x5mm Winbond WSON8, W25R256JWPQ model. The traces are conductive to Pins 3 and 7 (IO2 & IO3 respectively) so I have reason to believe they are 10k pull up resistors since IO2&3 pins are used for Quad SPI instructions.

Does anyone with more knowledge, and experience than I, know if this is the case?

                  LED driver circuit. Burnt Resistors
                  by jinu_j
                  Hi Folks
This has to do with a LED light driver rated for Output - DC36-65V 300mA. This is used to drive a 15W LED panel light.

Now this does not work so opened up and found 2 resistors burnt to crisp. Sensing a learning moment, i looked around the circuit to figure out that it is built around the OB2538 chip. The circuit to a large extent follows the sample application circuit mentioned in the data sheet. I have traced the actual circuit and the same is also attached for reference.

But i have some queries on this circuit
                  1. The resistors that burnt to crisp...
