Vizio VX42L No video and no Sound
The TV will not turn on(No picture or sound). Checked the voltages : +5V OK, No 24 or 12volts. At power plug in, the relays click on , the 24v goes to only 15 v and then falls back to zero. I have no power schematics for this tv.

Does the "vizio" logo go from orange to white and then cannot be turned off unless you pull the plug? If yes then it would indicate the main board. More likely a LDO voltage regulator has failed. I repaired a vizio GV42L that would physically turn on but didn't have sound, picture, or even back lights. 1 adjustable voltage regulators was not outputting 1.8v as needed. Your gonna need to start checking the regulators and see if they are outputting what they should. Post a few pictures of your main board if your unsure what the voltage regulators look like and we can assist you. -

This set features often on here - have you tried typing VX42L into the search facility and trying any of the stuff in there.

We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

The two I had it was the inverter chip on the slave board(right).
Check out the chip if it has a blown pin.Comment

On the main board I found several regulators with no power output. I cannot find a data sheet for U1 the number is 4953GM. Anybody now were I could find one ?Comment

Have a free Vizio E60-E3 pickup - sound and backlights work. set turns on and stays on for a period then cycles off and back on. NO VIDEO. If I remove left side (from front of TV) of TCON cable - set has pic on right side (from front of TV) with white screen on left side. With right side TCON cable disconnected - no pic on either side.
Does this mean remove right side (from front of TV) tabs ?
Like a second opinion before possibly destroying set.... -
I am facing a strange issue, I don't have any sound over my internal MacBook speakers and also the video won't start. If I change to my head speaker or via HDMI (speaker on my external Display) the sound works over the head speaker or Display and also the video starts (ex. youtube).
All happened after the battery ran out of power overall several days when I was on vacation.
I tried to remove the battery and then reconnected the battery, and then the MacBook Pro 14 2021 won't accept any power from my power socket. Then I removed one speaker, connected again the battery... -
When I select the FM receiver, I find a radio station, the sound is heard on REC OUT(L,R), REC TAPE1(L,R),REC TAPE2(L,R) on high-ohm headphones, the sound regulation does not work.
The output reacts when I connect the record player to PRE OUT FRONT L, the sound is heard in the speaker but the sound regulation does not work. Then it does not matter what I chose on the front selector.
I replaced the capacitor C303/0.047F, nothing changes.
I'm asking for help, what should I do next?

Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.
The firmware reported is the following:

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.
