Re: Hitachi 42LDF30U RANDOM SWITCHING OFF

ive messaged them but they havent messaged me back,

does anyone know if this might work...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

the numbers arent the same but the connectors are right and the tv is a 1080p, the t-con connector is the same and so are the others,

    my board is a 17MB35-1 V2 020708 20458174

the guy says i can return it but at postage cost(usual)

the only same board as mine i could find was for Β£85!! so if this might work its worth a try

ive got to refund the buyer anyway now, but 42" normally sell pretty quick, so ive just ordered the other board, i will let you know if it works when i get it, it should do...the manual is exactly the same but with differant model numbers on the first page, so i would expect the software to be the same just a newer revision so fingers crossed,

im emailing Hitachi now to see if it will cross match

I find it kind of difficult to sell >32" TVs except over eBay.

HITACHI : i need to use the correct part

SHEPP : but if the t-con is the same in both tvs and the main boards are the same surely the same software will work will it not?

HITACHI : although the parts maybe the same the lcd panels are differant and require differant software, you need to order the correct part
from charles hyde (Β£90 for main board but it is new)

but unfortunately for me ive ordered a main board now so well see when it comes....i really hope it works so i can stick 2 fingers up at Hitachi! ha ha

but my hopes have faded since there last email but it came too late!

Re: Hitachi 42LDF30U RANDOM SWITCHING OFF

Most TVs will still work with the wrong main board but the picture will be screwed up, usually just colours wrong. You can sometimes fix this from the service menu.

ive looked in the service manual but it doesnt make much sense to me with all the settings, what does what etc, so i might need some help, but ill let you know when i get the board....hopefully tomorrow, it will be good if i can set it up with the service menu if it doesnt work properly

Re: Hitachi 42LDF30U RANDOM SWITCHING OFF

Picture was sound, but the control for the buttons must be differant because it keeps turning volume up and down on its own, even with the buttons un plugged, but the board itself is actually differant, and now the plug for the buttons has broke on me! so this ones going from bad to worse!...due to my own stupidity!

im gonna have to correct my mistakes by paying through the nose now for a replacement board and solder the wires for the buttons into place on the new board when it comes

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                        by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                        by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

LCD 31MU97Z displays random lines randomly
                        by Vspeed
I have this monitor which had the known issue with the corrupted flash. That is solved, now, after some time it started to cut the image from time to time and just display grayish random vertical lines. After some minutes the image usually comes back, until it does the same again.

I took it apart and the only think that I noticed was ZD1 protection diode on the TCON board reaching 90ΒΊC when it's showing this erratic behavior. I measured the voltage on the fuse right beside it, and is measuring 15.3V (under load). Without the TCON board connected, the connector measures 18.3V....

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                        by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                        After all of...

These cheap non brand capacitors at it again

Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is

Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the...
