Do you have 5V DC standby?

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Try resoldering the large pins in last two pictures.

Does the set actually work apart from the noise?

everything works, all but the z sus board is screwed. Colored Dark blue specks etc already know that's bad

Power supply was making the noise, replaced 2 bad caps didn't make a difference.

Use some superglue on the chirping component. (Locate it exactly with a cylinder, e.g. made from paper) The windings are vibrating because the old varnish has dried up.

Check these transformers for cracks (there may be barely visible cracks). I heard about these kind of problems.

For what I heard on your video, these one are causing the sound.

Which Transformer Powers the z sus board anyone know?

Anyways, i was reflowing some solder and i came across 2 of those 5W15 J B A R O their are a few on the board elsewhere that don't look nearly as bad could those be making that noise?

Probably not. They are "cement" resistors. A wire is coiled inside to make the required resistance and it is then encased in the ceramic white body - usually this prevents the wire from moving.

I notice this is a second thread concerning this same set - please dont do that - its difficult enough following one- and vital information in one may not be in the other.

The other post focused on the whole TV this is just the power supply and also no one would reply back to the other thread.

I don't think a resistor could cause the sound. It's more likely in components like transformers or coil windings because those components produce little vibrations.

using a stethoscope i have pin-pointed the noise coming from the marked areas on the power supply, what does this area power/control?

The yellow one is the PFC inductor. The other items are the mains filters. You can try applying glue to the mains filters to see if it fixes it.

Will the noise actually hurt anything long term?

It shouldn't. The glue is normally present on the inductors, but it dries up over time so it becomes much more audible.
