    Re: Secondary LCD Supply Voltage

Is the LCD Controller just a stand alone board? And there are other main boards on this TV?
What is the status of the TV now, it is working?

      Re: Secondary LCD Supply Voltage

There are a total of 5 boards. The LCD controller board contains the microprocessor that interfaces the key inputs and communicates with the system board.

Video is solid and look normal, there is no sound at least when the input source is connected to the HDMI input. I am going to begin troubleshooting the no audio problem tomorrow by checking other input sources to see if all audio inputs are muted or if the problem is related to the speaker relay not pulling in. I have not checked the cable or off air tuner, but have no reason to believe the set only has the audio issue at this point.

Will post tomorrow my findings. Probably will begin a new thread entitled audio trouble.

        Re: Secondary LCD Supply Voltage

All this time I thought LCD controller is also part of the main logic board, now it make sense that you already replaced the main board and it still have the same symptom, sorry for not understanding all these time. Now it makes sense, great job locating the bad board. That sure a strange to have so many boards like that with a lot of cables to hook them all together.
Does it have the audio board by itself also?

The SAGA continues but Iam sure you will solve it eventually and that is the fun part, I will need to download the service manual for this thing. By the way, if you use the Audio Line outputs Red and White RCA jacks, do you get the sound there?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              by Jembang
good day hoping someone can lend a hand, im repairing smart tv 50 inch, status when turning on back light is dim but you can see the tv logo then slowly fading out to black, i check the supply to tcon, i only read 5+v, must be 12v, i removed lvds cable and check voltage to mainboard turned on its also 5v, then i remove the cable mainboard to power supply, i read 12v in power supply, thinking that the problem is in the mainboard, coz theres 12v in power supply, i also check while turning on checking volts in main board 12v dropping to 5v, im just new repairing in TV, hope someone see my post t...

              LM358 LM358S-13 Datasheet
              by Document Archive
The LM358 LM358S-13 consists of two independent, high gain, internally frequency compensated operational amplifiers which were designed specifically to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from split power supplies is also possible and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage.

Application areas include transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks and all the conventional op amp circuits which now can be more easily implemented in single power supply systems. For example, the LM358 series can be directly...

I can find a BMS balancing protection board at this voltage level and weather or not do I have use more than one BMS balancing protection board...
